 RRSLs are set up to meet the Legal Metrology


requirements of the State Governments, Industries and
Consumers in the country.
NATIONAL WORKSHOP/ SEMINAR  These labs serve as a link between the National
Physical Laboratory and the State’s Weights & Measure
ON Laboratories to ensure the correct weighment & measurement
“Calibration in Laboratory for in transaction & protection.
Industry: Why, what & how?”  RRSLs are having facilities for testing/ calibration of
September 10, 2023 (Sunday) weights, balances, flow meters, Load Cells, Torque, water
HYBRID MODE meters, thermometers, B P meters and Time lab setup etc.
(Participation & Certification Free)  IILM, Ranchi is for the capacity building of Legal
Metrology Officers of States/ UTs/ GoI, Industries,
Government Departments, Foreign Officials, PSUs etc. and
provides training on various aspects of Legal Metrology.
 IILM is well equipped with reputed, highly qualified,
experienced faculty members, resourceful laboratories and
other allied necessary facilities to enable it to function
effectively in the field of Legal Metrology.
 These are accredited for ISO:IEC 17025:2012 and
empanelled by BIS.
 Seminar: The objective of the workshop/ seminar is to
create awareness among manufacturers/ industries/
laboratories, Government Officers, students etc. about the
new developments/ requirements of national
laws/ international standards and technical
knowhow etc.
