2.2. Fixed issues
2.2.1. Addition of function/ Change of specifications

1. AirPrint 1.7 is supported

2. Paper type can be selected without being grayed out when paper tray setting is selected other than "Auto" with additional
Paper Settings for Each Tray settings. (Driver)

2.2.2. The following issues are solved in this firmware.

1. When scanning by compact PDF, the lines and the characters are lighter than C652 Series.

The following Software Switch is added for this issue.

Software Switch No. : 110
HEX Assignment 00 : This modification is not applied. (default)
HEX Assignment 01 : This modification is effective.
2. When receiving a large amount of IPv6 packet, the operation panel does not respond and printing cannot be performed.
3. The warning screen is different from that of conventional model when scanning a custom size original from Platen with Scan
Size set to [auto].
- bizhub 363 (conventional model): Warning screen and original size setting screen are displayed.
- bizhub **7 Series, **8 Series: Only warning screen is displayed.
4. [Increase Priority] function does not work while the authentication function is enabled.
To enable/disable the function for being set the operation of output priority when using ID & Print to the same as that of
conventional models. (bit 2)

5. When DipSW No.39 is set to 0x10, the default setting of [Select Job Ty] on Job List screen is set to [Send].

6. The output result when executing a job by Scan application that associate with Browser is different according to the function
version.
7. When printing two jobs collectively by using PullPrint application, MFP freezes without displaying an error code.
8. When scanning and sending a specific document with Compact PDF Settings, the job is deleted due to the memory
shortage.

To set the processing method to use CPU in the same way as without expansion memory when generating Compact PDF.

<Note>
When set the Software SW No. 103 to 0x04, the scan transmission time of the following file types become longer.

The effect of "Software SW No. 103 0x04" will be lost when the following is set to [Prioritize Speed].

9. When printing a specific original from Mac, a certain map symbol is printed incorrectly.
10. The shortcut key to the ID & Print User Box (Switch No.23, HEX Assignment: 0x20) does not work if [Scan to Authorized
Folder Settings] is set to [Limit].
11. When printing monochrome data with Auto Color setting, it is counted in color mode.
To enable this function, please configure the following two settings.
- Administrator Settings > System Settings > Expert Adjustment > PS Designer Settings: Yes

12. When a specific JPEG file is printed by USB, the output result becomes Neg-/Pos. Reverse image.
13. When printing a Word document that is written vertically from PCL driver, some characters are turned sideways.
14. The message errors on Control Panel for French/ Italian/German/Spanish are corrected.
15. If tapping fax/scan program that is assigned in the main menu after switching from copy screen to main menu, a registered
destination is not displayed.
16. When printing a specific PDF file directly from a USB Memory, the characters are printed in bold.
17. After setting the staple "ON" with tapping the Finishing Program key, the staple setting cannot be released by re-tapping the
Finishing Program key.

DipSW for the function to set the operation at the time of tapping Finishing Program key to the conventional operation (same
operation as function version 2.2 or earlier).

18. The trouble code C-E301 (detail codes: 0xC2CA or 0xC41D) may occur when using scan transmission after a job is deleted
due to the memory shortage while using scan transmission.
19. "Z Fold Unit Off" is displayed on the Tx result of FAX broadcast transmission.
20. When printing a specific Excel file by using PS driver, dotted line is printed as solid line.
21. When sending a print data to MFP with selecting Tray3 as [Output Tray] (Main tray) in the Sleep mode, it may be ejected
from Tray1 (3rd tray).
22. The trouble code C-FA16 occurs when printing a file from the specific system (AS400).
23. Even though [Basic Functions Setting] on [Specified Application Start Setting] is set to [Restrict], the Basic function is
available.
24. The MFP does not start copying even though an original is loaded on the Original Glass with the ADF opened and then the
Start key is pressed.
25. When using scan transmission after a job is deleted due to the memory shortage, the scan job may remain sending
26. The browser setting is changed when the screensaver became active.
27. When printing a drawing that is created by CAD software on Mac from specific application(Vectorworks2015), the line of
drawing becomes thick.

30. After confirming the output of copy by preview, the copy may not start even when tapping [Print] key.
31. PS error occurs when printing a specific PDF file by Direct Print via CUPS.
32. The checks for Eco Mode of all paper trays have been unchecked from the firmware version G00-G7.
33. The setting of [Shift Output Each Job] is set to [No], paper jam or C-1106 may occur while printing jobs continuously.
34. Supported / unsupported description for each error of "prtAlertDescription" written in MIB specification does not match with
a machine behavior.
35. MFP doesn't notify Toner Near Empty information to CSRC correctly.
36. MFP does not detect the next toner empty until 1 turn stirring.
37. Toner Near Empty Display Time to late was fixed.

2.2.3. The following issues are solved in this driver.

1. Under Point & Print environment, job cancellation due to login error occurs when making a print from Internet Explorer 11
through PS driver.
2. When printing certain MSWord file using PCL driver, the thickness of the printed characters might be varied.
3. The setting change on DriverAPI/KMDRVSET is not reflected correctly.
4. Error occurs when specific application is started with KM printer driver set as default printer.
5. Cannot automatically obtain the Paper Source Unit information in the Printer Properties "Configure" of Printer Driver.
