Basic computer operations are the actions that
a user can perform on a computer, such as:
 Turning on and off the computer .
WHAT ARE
 Using the keyboard and mouse.

OPERATIONS?  Connecting to the internet and browsing the
web.
 Printing and scanning documents.
TURNING ON AND OFF THE COMPUTER

 To turn on the computer, press the power button on the CPU


(central processing unit) or the laptop. Wait for the computer to
boot up and display the login screen. Enter your username and
password to access your account. To turn off the computer, click
on the Start menu and select Shut down or Restart. Wait for the
computer to shut down completely before unplugging it or
closing the lid.
The keyboard and mouse are the
main input devices that allow you to
interact with the computer. The
keyboard has different types of keys,
such as:
