NOTIFICATION

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, a State Government University, was

established in 2015, through an Act of the Legislature of the State of Kerala, with an aim to
provide leadership in technology related Policy Formulation and Engineering Planning.
The University also aims to offer quality undergraduate/post graduate education and
research programs in engineering, science, technology, management and related areas
for aspiring students through affiliated colleges and, schools established directly under it.
University has identified Research, Development and Innovation as thrust areas.

The University invites applications from qualified Indian Nationals graduated with excellent
academic records, commitments to quality teaching and outstanding research aptitude for
appointment to the faculty positions outlined in part III of this Notification.

PART I

Terms and Conditions of Service:

The faculty appointed in the University pursuant to this notification would be governed by
APJAKTU Act, 2015, APJAKTU First Statutes, 2020 and Statutes 20 to 36 of Chapter 7 of
the APJAKTU First Statutes, 2020. Applicants are advised to verify and satisfy themselves
the provisions therein before submitting applications, a copy of the relevant Statutes are
annexed to this Notification.

It shall be the explicit understanding of the applicants that those terms and conditions not
covered in the said Statutes, namely, counting of prior service for pay fixation, pension,
pensionary benefits and service benefits, if any, and counting of prior service of applicants
who are in service or have retired from service from Government/ Government
Aided/ Government controlled Self-Financing Colleges for pay fixation, pension,
pensionary benefits and service benefits, if any, shall be as decided by the Syndicate in
consultation with the Government. It shall also be the explicit understanding of the
applicants that in case of doubt or ambiguity in the said Statutes in respect of the terms
and conditions in any matter whatsoever, the decision of the Syndicate in consultation with
the Government shall be final.

At least total 6 research publications in SCI journals/UGC/AICTE approved list of journals.
AND
Minimum of 8 years of experience in teaching/ research/ industry out of which at least 2
years shall be Post Ph.D. experience.

Ph.D. degree in relevant field and First class or equivalent at either Bachelor's or Master's
level in the relevant branch

Minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching/research/industry out of which at least 3
years shall be at a post equivalent to that of an Associate Professor.

At least 6 research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals/UGC/
AICTE approved list of journals and at least 2 successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor/ Co-
supervisor till the last date of application OR at least 10 research publications at the level
of Associate Professor in SCI journals/ UGC/ AICTE approved list of journals till the last

GENERAL GUIDELINES

1. Online applications are invited, for posts of Professors, Associate Professors, and
Assistant Professors in various branches referred in Part IV of this Notification in
the University Schools. Apply online Through: recruitment.ktu.edu.in .Candidates
are advised to visit the link recruitment.ktu.edu.in from time to time and remain
updated.
2. The Starting Date of the Online application is 30th October 2024 and the Closing
Date of the online application is 29th November 2024
3. Candidates should produce (i) Experience Certificate and Conduct and Character
certificate from the Head of the Institution (where they are currently working)
indicating the date of appointment, and (ii) in the case of regular/permanent
employees of Govt./Quasi Govt./ State Autonomous organizations/institutions, a
No Objection Certificate from the employer should be uploaded to the application
portal.
4. No Travelling Allowance/ Daily Allowance shall be paid to the candidates for
attending the interview if called so.
5. Eligibility of a candidate and satisfaction of any other Short-listing criteria shall be
considered as on the closing date of submission of the online application.
6. Incomplete Application form in any respect- without substantial proof of Statements/
information- shall not be considered.
7. If more than one application is submitted by the candidate for the same post, only
the application submitted later within the last date of submission shall be
considered.
8. For providing reservation to persons with disabilities as provided in the RPWD
Act horizontal reservation will be applied
