INTRODUCTION
The 2025 Lord Tedder Hall Independent Electoral Commission(THIEC’25) sequel to its
inauguration on Saturday,1st February,2025 and in accordance with the constitution of Lord
Tedder Hall, university of Ibadan had a virtual meeting on Sunday,2nd February,2025 with all
commission members present namely:
1. Commissioner Olaniyi Sodeeq Dolapo-Chairman.
2. Commissioner Akintade Israel Oluwatimilehin- General Secretary.
3. Commissioner Basunu Lateef-Treasurer
4. Commissioner Oladapo Emmanuel-Public Relations Officer
5. Commissioner Abereowo Damilola Kingsley-Member.
During this meeting, the commissioners agreed on the following dates for the election
procedures and the budgets were planned as well. The following are the dates agreed upon
with its activity.

SCREENING AND ELECTION
● The Screening exercise was held on the Monday 24th February,2025 at the Old
SCR,Lord Tedder Hall whereby all commissioners were present to screen and scrutinize
aspirants ably led by the chairman.
● The exercise took off at exactly 12 noon with the legislative council's aspirants being
screened.
● There was a short break for the commissioners before the commencement of the
executive aspirants screening.
● The election date as planned was shifted to Saturday 29th February,2025 due to the Jaw
war Finals and the platform for voting was opened for accredited voters at exactly 10am
with the aspirant's agent present to see to the voting process and the voting platform
was closed by 2:30pm with time extension due to some circumstances.
● 435 members were accredited for voting and 282 tedderites voted during the election.
● At the counting of the voting results with the Hall Warden,Dr. Abu there present. The
following candidates emerge as the newly elected executives out of thirteen (13)
aspirants.
(a) Adiche Praise- Hall chairman
(b) Aribisala Oluwaferanmi-Vice Hall Chairman
(c) Akosile Ayodeji-General secretary
(d) Kazeem Faruq-Finance Minister
(e) Fasina Daniel- Information Minister
(f) Shittu Sunday- Social Minister
(g) Nasirudeen Ibrahim - Hall Affairs minister
(h) Sirojudeen Habeeb- Health Minister
(i) Siyanbade Adedamola- Sport minister
(j) Owonifaari Oreoluwa-Defence Minister.
while fifteen (15) members of the Hall representative councils were elected with one (1) not
elected.
INFORMATION DISSEMINATION
There was prompt passing of information in all Tedder hall platforms regarding the election
procedure by the commission Public Relation Officer in person of Commissioner Oladapo
Emmanuel.
