3.1 Preliminary Activities

3.2 Developmental Activities
a. Drill
The teacher will ask a student a question. The first student answers the
question and then asks a similar question to the next student.
b. Review
Ask each pupil about the lesson yesterday.
c. Unlocking of Difficulties
Show the pupils phrases and invite them to sound out the words in the
phrases. Make them understand what each phrase means.
3.3 Motivation
Show pictures of Mayon Volcano. Ask learners what they know about the
volcano. Let them describe the volcano. List the describing words that they use.
3.4 Presentation of Lesson
Present the story about Mayon Volcano. Discuss the story.
3.5 Discussion of the Lesson
Show the pupils phrases. Explain that the underlined words are describing words.
3.6 Application
Post 5 pictures on the board. Group the pupils into 5. Provide each with
sentences using spin-the-wheel. Let the pupils read the sentences and post
them under their corresponding pictures. Let each group identify words that
describe found in each sentence.
3.7 Generalization
Show the pupils pictures and let them make a sentence with words that
describe.
4. Evaluation
Let the pupils answer an activity from the Learning Activity Sheet Quarter 4 Week 2
page 5.
5. Assignment/Agreement
Let the pupils write 5 sentences with words that describe.
