Inter-Zone Basketball Tournament
Organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan Officials of Barangay
San Vicente, Alcala, Pangasinan
February 23- March 31, 2025
Venue: San Vicente Basketball Court
RULES OF THE TOURNAMENT
1. This basketball tournament shall be known as the 2025 Barangay San Vicente Inter-Zone Basketball
Tournament, it will be held at the San Vicente basketball court from February 16-March 31, 2025 and to be
participated in by residents of San Vicente, Alcala, Pangasinan.
2. The tournament is under control and supervision of the Organizing Committee which is tasked to decide
on protest, illegibility of players and other issues confronting the committee.
3. The tournament is Inter-Zone. Qualified players must be:
- 15-30 years old
- a bona fide resident /voter (for legal aged players)
- in any circumstance must be inhabiting with in the particular zone he
represents within 6 months before the start of the tournament.
4. Teams who will dishonestly, fraudulently and maliciously field a player in violation to Section 3 shall be
disqualified from the tournament, regardless of its win-loss record, and the player will be banned in 2
consecutive games.
5. The maximum composition of the team shall be 15 players and player who fails to play any game during
the elimination round is not allowed to play the semi - finals/finals. The 15 players will be divided into two
groups in the 1st and 2nd quarter,but in the 3rd and 4th quarter any of the players will allow to play the game.If
the player is not present in the 1st quarter of the game, he will not be allowed to play the game. If the coach
fails to comply with the rules he will be technical.
6. Only coach and players, shall seat on the bench of both sides.
7. Defaulting time shall be after ten minutes of the game-scheduled of the concerned team. This is strictly
applied.
8. A player who will play (a) under the influence of liquor, (b) under the influence of illegal drugs and (c)
wearing not his official uniform shall be expelled from the game, subject to further penalty on the team and
the player concerned. The organizing committee is empowered to determine whether a player is under the
influence of liquor/drugs.
9. Only violation to these rules could be ground for protest which must be filed within twenty four (24)
hours after the game. Only protest signed by the Coach and Team Manager shall be entertained. Judgement
calls by the referees are not grounds for protest, hence, shall not be entertained by the committee.
10. FIBA rules shall govern the officiating and all other matters concerning actual game.
11. The start of the tournament shall be on February 23, 2025 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon after the parade
of the competing teams with their respective officials and muses.
12. Format of the tournament shall be announced on the opening day.
13. Any untoward incident / accidents happened during the tournament, the organizing
committee/Barangay Officials/Sangguniang Kabataan Officials and referees has no liable obligation.
14. All basketball players shall attend the parade,failure to attend will be suspended in the 2 consecutive
games.
15. Cash bond of 1500 will be collected from each team.the requirements of cashband to refunded is attend
in opening and awarding parade and no defaulted game, and the players of each must involved in any
fighting incedent during their game, If the team has a default violation ,they will no longer refund their cash
bond. To all player not allowed to vape or smoke cigarettes in front or inside the barangay hall.
