Alloy A201.0 is intended for use in the –T7 temper, which provides a high level of resistance to stress-corrosion cracking when properly heat treated. In other tempers,
alloy A201.0 may exhibit susceptibility to stress-corrosion cracking. Additionally, its tendency for hot shortness may make alloy A201.0 unsuitable in some casting designs.
