1. Overview
1.1. .Introduction
The Artesis AMT Pro is a portable motor driven equipment test system which automatically
generates a condition assessment report indicating existing electrical mechanical and
operational faults, time to failure information, recommended corrective actions, and
effects of faults on energy efficiency.
Powered by its patented machine learning algorithm and 10 million motor datasets, this
unique instrument is capable of monitoring three phase AC motors and generators as well
as driven equipment of all sizes and power levels to provide clear, unambiguous
indications when the performance of a motor driven equipment begins to degrade.
AMT Pro is designed for route-based condition monitoring of rotating equipment enabling
early fault detection on the motor, drive train and driven equipment without installing any
sensors on the equipment.
AAMT Pro is connected to MCC Panel via three current transformers and three voltage
probes, making the system straightforward to install, and use without in-depth training of
personnel. The test duration is approximately 7-10 minutes allowing up to 40 tests to be
performed in a day.
Although it is easy to use, the AMT Pro device must be installed and used correctly like any
other smart, software-based electronic device. For this reason, we recommend that you
review all the manuals you received with the device and learn the operating principles and
usage features of the device.

• Combine the BNC connector of the current transformer to be used with the BNC
connector of the cable.
• Afterwards, connect the current transformers to the motor cable as follows
9
2.3.2 Voltage probe/ Transformer connection
• Voltage inputs are shown as L1, L2 and L3 on the AMT Pro connector panel. Plug the cables
with banana sockets into the voltage inputs in the same colors in order.
• Connect the voltage with crocodile and magnetic probes, respectively, from the line
where the equipment to be measured later is fed.
• AMT Pro does not measure the Neutral line. The maximum applicable voltage between
phases is 690V.
• There is a fuse in the banana sockets of the voltage cables to protect the equipment in
case of a short circuit.
Note: More than 690V applications, the voltage connection between AMT Pro and Motor
must be made using a Voltage Transformer. Otherwise, the AMT Pro will be damaged.

diagram. If there is a By-Pass contactor, the contactor must be put into use before the test
is performed.
12
2.3.6. Connection in MV and HV Equipments
AMTPro can measure on equipment supplied with medium and high voltage. However,
since AMTPro voltage inputs support up to 690Vrms phase-phase direct connection,
voltages above this value voltage transformer (PT) should be used. Otherwise, there will be
a risk in terms of both life and device safety.
Below is the connection method for medium and high voltage equipment. In general,
there are predefined current and voltage transformers in the system. Motor current can be
measured by connecting the secondary outputs of existing current transformers to the
10A/100mA CT of AMTPro. The point to be noted here is; The conversion ratio of the current
transformers available should be multiplied by the conversion ratio of the 10A/100mA CT.
For example: If the secondary output of 100A/5A CT is used, the conversion ratio will be “2”
(20*0.1).
13
