Choosing color palettes is a fast way to stop a lot of artists dead in their tracks.
That’s why we searched hundreds of Instagram accounts related to Riso and looked for common
color palettes in high-growth accounts.
Are color palettes that slip into your brain and subconciously make you want to follow an artist
for real? Sounds like a conscpiracy theory. All we know is these palettes are used often in
popular Instagram accounts.

AFTER SCHOOL SPECIAL
Some of the first colors that we learn growing up are the primaries; red, blue, and yellow. It’s no
wonder that this combination makes its way onto so many products and artwork for children.
We’ve grown up with this grade school classic with a more muted blue that will still blend into a
beautiful rainbow.

This adventurous take the primary colors would be an excellent combo for romantic landscapes
or fun, tropical designs. Use the Light Lime in place of yellow for bold greens. Coral mixed with
Steel can combine to make a deep purple perfect for line work.

JELLY BEAN
Inspired by the adventurous palettes of well-known Risograph printers, this candy-colored
combination is regal while still fun. Get a range of blues and purples by mixing hues. Used
sparingly, you can use the Pink for striking pops of color and interesting focal points.

This palette is bright and playful but grounded by the intense Black. Use Black as your main color
for a more traditional choice, with Melon and Sea Foam playing supporting roles. You can also
