temperature.
- Heat is a quantity given and absorb off an object.

D. EXPLORE
-The teacher will show a short video clip about heat and
temperature

E. EXPLAIN
What do you observe about the video that you’ve watch a while
ago?

F. ELABORATION
-The teacher will start the discussion of the lesson.
Heat is defined as the energy in transit from an object with a
higher temperature object with a lower temperature. The heat
transfer through conduction, convection and radiation.
Thermal equilibrium is a state of a system in which all part are
at the same temperature.
Temperature is described as the average kinetic energy of the
molecules in an object. To express the unit of temperature,
the units of Celsius (℃), Fahrenheit (℉), and Kelvin (K) are
commonly used:
From Celsius to Fahrenheit scale: Tf= 9/5 tc+32‫ﹾ‬
From Fahrenheit to Celsius scale: Tf= 5/9(tf-32‫ﹾ‬
From Celsius to Kelvin scale: Tk=Tc+273.15
-The teacher will introduce who discover the three
temperature scale.
-the teacher will give an example on how to convert Celsius to
Fahrenheit, Fahrenheit to Celsius and Celsius to Kelvin.

G. EVALUATION
-The teacher will post on the board that the students will
answer.

DIRECTION: Convert the given temperature.

1. 2℃=____ ℉
2. 35℃=___ ℉
3. 140℉=___ ℃
4. 66℉=____℃
5. 40℃=____ K

H. EXTEND
-The students will watch a short video about heat and
temperature.
1. what is the difference between heat and temperature?
2. How do we measure heat?
3. what happens to the temperature of an object when the
particles are moving faster?
4. what is the good conductor of heat?
5. what are the three scales of temperature?
