IOGRAPH DanieL AONDOVIHI UKERSHIO
10th March, 1944 - 1st December, 2024
BIRTH:
It is not certain to clearly state the exact date Late Pa
Daniel Aondovihi Ukershio was born, this is because, there
were no proper records. standard ways of recording were
through notable invents and seasonal rotational
farmlands. Our Patriarch, Late Pa Daniel Aondovihi
Ukershio falls under this category and was estimated to
have been born on the 10th day of March, 1944 at Tse-Tsule,
Udei, the present Nyiev District, Isherev, Ihyarev, Ichongo-
Akem Tiv in Guma Local Government Area of Benue
State. He is the second child, and the rst and only son of his
father at that time, Pa Ukershio Tsule, his mother was Aya
Uwave Abah, from Mbayongo, Ihyarev, in the same Guma
Local Government Area.
HIS EDUCATION:
It was a thing of pride and show of outstanding charisma
among peers when one starts life through going to school.
Having come from a family that wanted the best for him,
Pa Daniel was enrolled into RCM Primary School Tse-
Umburga. His hard-work and commitment to studies
resulted for him passing with ying colours in his
elementary exams, three years after. The success of the
elementary exams took him to Udei for Senior Primary
School Education.
It was from there that his father stopped him as the only
and very obidient son, he obeyed his parent, sacri cing his
education to take care of his parents.
HIS FARMING PROFESSION:
Upon conceding to his parents wish, Wan Aba, his mother bought him a
farming hoe, as a mark of introducing him to farming. In his new found
ancestral profession of farming, Late Daniel Aondovihi was successful
within few years of venturing into it. He was an accomplished farmer
whose commitment was sine-qua-none.
It was because of his zeal for farming that enlarged his coast, after the
death of his grandfather, Pa Tsule Chinyam, the land was no longer
enough for farming due to increase in population and scramble for land.
The young Ukershio sought the consent of his father, to look for a land
that is bigger to accommodate his farms and fertile for more yields. In
response to his request, they moved and settled at Angwan Yara, Mada,
Kwara, in the then Plateau State.
God adorned him with another wave of blessings and he expanded his
farm the more. Several years of sowing elds and planting farmlands
that yielded fruitful harvests, the land got depleted. It was time to leave.
In search for another fertile land, they further moved to Dan-Anacha
1983, In the then Gongola State, but now Taraba State.
In his new found farm land in Dan-Anacha, the land was fertile, and the
crops yielded fruitful harvests in higher measure. Here, God blessed him
beyond measure. He even bought Mitsubishi Canter Lorry to facilitate
farming activities. Baba Daniel Ukershio stay in Dan-Anacha for 30 years
continued to enjoy the proceeds from the work of his hands until in 2002,
when the twist of life's expectation showed-up. The 2002 crisis hit hard,
leaving Baba and his family members scampering for safety. This made
Baba to sell the belongings he acquired for 30 years, including the
vehicle. He moved with his, Father, Pa Ukershio, his three wives and
children back to his ancestral home.
After his return to his ancestral home, his father died, and was buried
among his ancestor.
PA DANIEL UKERSHIO'S MARRIED LIFE
Pa Daniel was not just a handsome man, he was prosperous and well-
behaved. These qualities made him a delight for every woman. That was
why he didn't have issues taking home people's beautiful damsels as
wives.
He married his rst wife while he was still at his place of birth named Uor,
the daughter of Labar from Mbadev Kindred in Mbagwen-
Mbayer/Yandev Council Ward, in Guma Local Government Area and the
marriage is blessed with 6 children. They are:
1. Orsoja Aondovihi Ukershio (Late)
2. Alex Aondovihi Ukershio
3. Mtumahan Joseph Hemen (Late)
4. Jacob Aondovihi Ukershio
5. Martina Terfa Iangba
6. Augustine Aondovihi Ukershio
7. Ijiir Aondovihi Ukershio (Late)
When he left for Angwan Yara (as mentioned earlier), the farm
expanded so much that it became inescapable that another hand be
added with the expanded farm to a point that only one wife can't
handle it, he married Mbawuan, the dauther of Koryer, from Ujam, in
Ucha Nyiev Ward, also in Guma LGA. The marriage is blessed with three
children. They are:
1) Keleve Aondovihi Ukershio (Late)
2) Agwai Aondovihi Ukershio (Late)
3) Mernan Toryila
During his sojourn in Dan-Anacha, Gassol Local Government Area of
Taraba State, there was over ow of God's lavish blessing, so the need for
third wife arose. Pa Daniel obliged. He took Mbaufe, the beautiful
daughter of Mbakuuv from Ucher Kindred, Utyondo in Guma LGA as third
wife and the marriage is blessed with 10 children. They are:
1) Henry Aondovihi Ukershio
2) Humphrey Aondovihi Ukershio
3) Akula Aondovihi Ukershio
4) Kingsley Aondovihi Ukershio
5) Shadrack Aondovihi Ukershio
6) Terkuma Aondovihi Ukershio
7) Mama Aondovihi Ukershio
8) Sesugh Aondovihi Ukershio
9) Ushana Aondovihi Ukershio
SICKNESS AND DEATH
It was in 2019 that Baba's journey to join his ancestors started in earnest.
On that faithful day, he waked up healthy, and decided to go and greet a
neighbor who was bereaved. On his way back,he had a stop-over at one
of his daughter's house. He was yet to nish eating the rice that was
served to him by his daughter, he collapsed, and got paralyzed, and
could no longer talk.
It took solemn treatment e orts and medication from both orthodox
and traditional medicine for 5 years, but there was no much
improvement. The sickness continued to linger till on the 1s t Day of
December, 2024, Baba answered the Lord's call.
Baba, you lived a quiet and peaceful life while on earth, persevering in
challenges, conquering tribulations, defending the weak and the
vulnerable and standing for truth, justice and peace. You lived
sacri cially for your people, especially when leadership came upon you,
as the oldest among your lineage.
We would have expected you to live longer, but just as William
Shakespeare said, “life's but a walking shadow, a poor player, that struts
and frets his hour upon the state, And then is heard no more…” .
For the tree we all lean on has fallen. At this point, your death changes
everything, but time changes nothing. We will continue to miss you
regardless of time. Because, Those We Love Never Die In Our Hearts.
Adieu Father!
Adieu Pa, Daniel Aondovihi Ukershio!!
