National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NITT) is inviting


undergraduate students from various Colleges, Institutes and
Univers ities to pursue internship under the guidance of a facult y
mentor of NITT. The undergraduate students will get an
opportunity to interact with the NITT facult y mentor. The program
is beneficial for students who are doing their under graduation.

About the Programme
Faculty Mentors
The list of faculty mentors from the various departments at NITT available in the
institution website. The prospective candidates may select a faculty mentor
depending on the match of their interests and of the faculty mentor. At NITT,
faculty mentor will interact with the undergraduate students. The scope of training
and number of contact hours can be decided with mutual consent of NITT and
the undergraduate student depending upon the nature of work.
Selection Procedure
The prospective undergraduate student has to directly interact with the faculty
mentor of NITT through email and get the consent for the internship. After
receiving the consent, the undergraduate student can then fill in the application

Consent from faculty mentor from NITT is mandatory for the selection
Certificate
A Certificate will be issued by the respective Department Faculty Mentor on the
successful completion of the internship for the undergraduate students and
submission of the report to Associate Dean (R&C)-Industry and outreach through
faculty mentor of NITT.
Duration: 4 weeks (minimum), 8 weeks (maximum)
Period of Internship: May 1st, 2025 - July 31st, 2025
Within the above internship period, the student can complete their internship for
a minimum period of 4 weeks and a maximum period of 8 weeks (irrespective of
the start date) based on the convenience of the student and the faculty mentor of
the respective department.
Accommodation in the Boys' and Girls' Hostels will be allocated to selected
candidates based on availability and a first-come, first-served basis. It will
be provided upon payment and will be available only from May 12th, 2025,
to July 4th, 2025.
