Returned: 1. Perusal of DNF does not substantiate that the officer has
applied for the
post through proper channel.
2. As per the Ministry of Finance OM No. 3379-E.III
(B)/65 dated the 17th June, 1965
read with 0.M Dated 24 November, 2022 issued by DoPT, the
resignation is treated as
a technical formality where a Government
servant has applied through proper
channel for a post in the same or some other Department, and is, on
selection,
required resign the previous post for administrative reassons.

mentioned in the Draft order)
may not have same connotation as application through proper Channel for
the Post.
4. The department may clarify whether the officer has
applied for the post through
proper channel.
