MUNICIPAL
STORM WATER TREATMENT
APPLICATION Storm water
- Stormwater is a major cause of urban flooding
- Litter or silt that enters the drains or rivers will pollute
the waters and
- May block the flow of stormwater in waterways
- High load of contaminants might decrease the facility
efficiency of drinking water system located next to the
river
- High variations of inlet conditions can be expected
Reasons to propose Actiflo Pack:
- Extremely compact system
- High treatment efficiency
- Quick treatment performance recovery

MUNICIPAL - INDUSTRIAL
PRIMARY TREATMENT
Sewage Wastewater
APPLICATION - Sewage is generated in residential, commercial and
industrial area
- It includes household waste liquid from toilets, baths,
showers, and kitchens draining into sewers
- In many areas, sewage also includes liquid waste from
industry and commerce.
- Transferring thru long distance pipelines, the main
pollutants are: heavy particles, Oil & Grease which
needs to be removed before feeding into secondary
biological system to avoid the sedimentation in
downstreams.
- Normally quite big capacity for Municipal plants, and
industrial plan could be smaller
Reasons to propose Actiflo Pack:
Source: Internet
- Extremely compact system
- Tolerate high inlet loading fluctuation
- Effective in treating low temp water

MUNICIPAL
ALGAE REMOVAL
Algae:
APPLICATION
- 'algae' is a broad term including organisms of widely varying sizes,
growth rates, and nutrient requirements
- Freshwater algal blooms are the result of an excess of nutrients,
particularly some phosphates (>0.1ppm)
- Algae tend to grow very quickly under high nutrient availability, but
each alga is short-lived, and the result is a high concentration of
dead organic matter which starts to decay.
- The decay process consumes dissolved oxygen in the water,
resulting in hypoxic conditions. Without sufficient dissolved
oxygen in the water, animals and plants may die off in large
numbers.
- During the summer months, effluent can be highly loaded with
algae;
Reasons to propose Actiflo Pack:
- Extremely compact system
- As good as DAF performance for Algae removal

- High Soluble COD in secondary clarifier effluent in
existing WWTP, tCOD 800ppm having 790ppm
Soluble COD
- Discharge requires COD <200ppm, increased to
100ppm 2 yrs later after project executed;
- 1000m3/day capacity
- There are 3 Granular Activated Carbon filters in
operation, however clients gave up due to extremely
high OPEX. Yearly More than RMB 6Million for
Granular Activated Carbon replacement only!!!
- ActifloCarb was proposed to replace the existing
GAC filters, with lower OPEX.
The End Client:
- Project awarded due to small footprint, easy

SOFTENING
Softening:
APPLICATION - Water softening is the removal of calcium, magnesium,
and certain other metal cations in hard water.
- Hard water leads to the buildup of limescale, which can
foul plumbing, and promote galvanic corrosion.
- In industrial scale water softening plants, the effluent
flow from the re-generation process can precipitate
scale that can interfere with sewage systems.
- Lime softening is an effective solution to remove
hardness.
Reasons to propose Actiflo Pack:
- Extremely compact system
- High treatment efficiency
- Quick treatment performance recovery
