2. Answer all questions in section A and B and two (2) questions from section C.

3. Section A carries sixteen (16) marks, section B carries fifty-four (54) marks and
section C carries thirty (30) marks.

4. Cellular phones and any unauthorized materials are not allowed in the examination
room.

SECTION A (16 Marks)
Answer all questions in this section

1. For each of the items (i)-(x), choose the correct answer from among the given
alternatives and write its letter beside the item number in the answer booklet(s)

their families. As a learned student, explain six (6) consequences of not applying
appropriate social problem-solving techniques in one’s life.

4. How can a person lose his/her Tanzanian citizenship? Give six (6) points.

5. Elaborate six (6) benefits that a student will get if he/she behaves properly.

6. Explain six (6) principles that are reflected in the constitution of the United Republic
of Tanzania that give you an idea that the constitution is democratic.

7. Imagine that you have been invited to a community meeting as a guest speaker on
how to address the challenges facing the informal sector. Analyse six (6) possible
solutions you would share with the community.

8. Use six (6) points to verify the statement that “Promotion and preservation of
cultural values in Tanzania today faces a lot of obstacles”.

SECTION C (30 Marks)


Answer two (2) questions from this section

9. The government of Tanzania plays the role of promoting and protecting human
rights through different ways. Show the truth of this statement by giving six (6)
points.

10. The sixth phase government of Tanzania has come up with the slogan “KAZI
IENDELEE” which emphasizes the government and individual Tanzanians to work
hard for both national and individual development. In the light of this slogan, use six
(6) points to show how the work done by people can contribute to national
development.

11. Citizen participation is one of the pillars of good governance and development in a
country. Verify this statement by explaining six (6) benefits of citizen participation
in local government activities.
