Dear Parent,
Ahlcon Public School's mission, in accordance with the true spirit of NEP 2020, has always been to provide
multifarious opportunities to students for their holistic development and complete well-being. After the
completion of the annual examination, engagement of students in sports, art and cultural activities will help
to further harness their potential and channelise their energy productively. With the objective of providing
equal opportunity and enough time to all students, the selection for house-level and school-level participation
in offered sports, cultural and art activities for the next session (2025-2026) will be done in the month of
March 2025 itself, based on the rubrics designed by the respective departments. This shall also ensure
adequate training and practice to the selected students for the tournaments, competitions and events during
the session 2025-2026.
The schedule for the selection of different activities is given below.
Although the selections are being done for the next academic session (2025-26), the students will
come for selection as per their current classes for which they have given Annual examination in
2024-25.
Interested students must be present as per the schedule. No student will be entertained later for selections.

FOR SPORTS SELECTION
● Students must assemble in the school field at 7:40am.
● Each student can appear for selections in a maximum of two of the following games – Badminton,
Basketball, Football and Table-Tennis. Participation in Athletic events will be considered
separately.
● The selection will be done class wise on the basis of the students’ performance.
● Students will be assessed for physical fitness and the skills required for the game(s) selected by the
student.
● Students must wear House T-shirt, shorts/ track pants and sports shoes / white school shoes.
● Students will bring their own sports equipment eg. Badminton racket, T.T. racket etc.
● Selection will be done according to the rubrics (criteria) set by the Sports Department, attached
herewith.
● Students will bring their lunch and water bottles.
FOR CULTURAL AND ART ACTIVITIES
● Students must assemble in the school auditorium at 7:40am
● Each student can appear for selections in a maximum of any two of the Art and Cultural activities
which includes Dance, Dramatics, Vocal Music, Instrumental (table/keyboard), Yoga, Home
Science, Painting and Craft (Rangoli, Fabric Painting, Best Out of Waste, Paper Flower
Arrangement)
● Students must wear grey school uniform (for yoga selections, student must wear track pants and
House T - shirt)
● For Painting and Craft selections, students have to bring stationary items, cartridge sheets, coloured
sheets, colours and craft material related to best out of waste and flower making (piece of white
cotton cloth with fabric colours and brushes, quilling strips and material related to best out of waste)
● For Home science selections, students have to bring any two fruits, two vegetables, bread, salt, sugar,
any two ingredients of their choice, spoon, plate, bowl and tissues.
● Students will bring their lunch and water bottles.
Buses will ply at the usual timings in the morning:
Dispersal at 11:15 a.m.
Entry and Dispersal of the students going on their own will be from gate number 3.
