Topic

Adapted script Acts III- IV - The tragedy of Romeo and Juliet

Aim

● To continue fostering reading habits by introducing longer texts


● To teach students scanning skills
● To give students the tools to fully understand the text
● To get students to remember short dialogues in the text
● To teach famous quotes
● To teach vocabulary related to the relevant acts
● To encourage students to express themselves using different emotions
and voices

Procedure

Before the Students will need to have the texts at hand for the class, either in paper or in Crea. If for
lesson any reason this is not possible, we suggest RT carries on with regular CEI classes.

Greeting Greet students and CT. Ask students how they are feeling.

Revision 1 As a whole class activity, ask students to put the images and the names of the acts in the
2 minutes correct box. This is a quick revision to check students know the chronology of the action.

Act it out If students are eager to show you what they’ve been practising during the week, allow a few

Revision 2 As an optional activity, ask students to fill in the missing text from Acts 0, I and II. If they
haven’t studied the text, tell them to do the activity with the text in hand.
