This document is the property of Lufthansa Systems and is classified as confidential. It was
produced for the sole purpose of responding to the request of Egyptair. It may not be utilized
other than for the evaluation of the enclosed information, nor may it or its content, in whole
or in part, be transmitted or divulged to third parties, except with written authorization from
Lufthansa Systems. The contents of this document only describe the requested deliverables
and the respective estimated pricing.
This Budgetary Price Information will be replaced with a formal proposal on request of

Charting your way to a Paperless Flight Deck
Lufthansa Systems offers integrated solutions for managing cost-effective and safe flight
operations. Our established Lido pilot solutions are known for operational efficiency. Today
more than 200 airline customers worldwide rely on the Lufthansa Systems portfolio of
products and services.
Each Lido pilot solution offers significant competitive advantages. Using them as an
integrated suite maximizes efficiency and gains data continuity. Pilots, licensed dispatchers
and IT specialists are all actively involved in the process of developing and implementing
our products - by airliners for airliners.

Lido Navigation Charts

Lufthansa Systems' navigation charts are designed and created from a comprehensive
worldwide geographic database in combination with all relevant aeronautical data (AIP,
NOTAM, Airline Data, etc.). All enroute navigation and terminal charts are optimized for
focused navigation, always reflecting the customer's specific data sets. Tailored and
customized to an individual demand, Lido charts can reflect all customer-specific flight policy
information, individual minima data and tables. All charts feature a layout with self-
explanatory symbols and color emphasis. Safety-relevant topographic aspects enhance the
value of the chart.
The charts, including topography and procedures, are displayed to scale. Minimum sector
altitudes are rendered directly within the charts. This makes it very easy to maintain an
accurate picture of the procedures and enhances situational awareness.
The Lido charting standard has been developed together with existing customers in order to
best serve the commercial aviation market. Information "for general aviation only" has not
been included in our charts in order to provide the commercial pilot with a clear and de-
cluttered source of pertinent information.

2.1 Lido Route Manual – product overview

The Lido Route Manual solution consists of electronically generated charts, combined and
accompanied by the latest technology for use at commercial airlines. Lufthansa Systems
integrates different technologies, functionalities and designs to supply customers with an
easy-to-use product. It provides the most up-to-date and reliable information required.
Lido Route Manual is designed to show exclusively the necessary and jointly pre-defined
operational information sourced from a highly sophisticated data management system. This
system provides the highest level of data quality at the highest standards of accuracy in
order to offer an economic, safe, and reliable operation.

Lido Route Manual One-Paper Concept

Conceptually new is the Airport Facility Chart (AFC). Designed as an overview chart, it
contains the most important information of each airport, including an overview of SID/STAR
procedures and all required information to be able to commence an approach. Information

like Final approach track, Glide path, Step down altitudes, LDA, RWY lighting and connected
frequencies including Morse code identifier are shown for the best approach per RWY
available.
In paper format, the reverse side shows the Airport Ground Chart (AGC), a combination of
airport layout and taxi chart, which also includes information relevant for take-off.
The availability of these two overview charts – presented as "One Paper Concept" –
complemented with the use of the FMS on board, provides crews with an optimized
reference to take off and land safely at any given airport.
The innovative One-Paper Concept offers an opportunity to decrease cost by gradually
reducing the amount of paper on the way to a paperless cockpit.

2.2 Lido mPilot – product overview

The application for the iPad consists of five modules:

Lido mPilot delivers Lufthansa Systems’ navigation charts directly to your iPad that is
designed for use in a professional airline environment for immediate and intuitive access to
all navigational information including Chart NOTAMs. It provides access to specific airports
according to the customers’ network.

Once the charts have been downloaded via WLAN or 3G/4G, they can be used without an
internet connection. A virtual clipboard for each airport allows the pilot to add and arrange
the required charts for the next flight at briefing time for fast and convenient access. Lido
mPilot provides updates according to your selected revision cycle and the enroute maps will
be provided for every 28 day AIRAC cycle. The updated charts are available for download
8 days prior to effective date, so that the latest version is always on your iPad. Relevant
Chart NOTAMs are available for download as soon as they become active.

The users can rotate and zoom in and out on the airport charts using the iPad’s typical multi-
touch gestures. The display can be dimmed for night operation.

For flight preparation, the user can enter and edit flight routes to be displayed on the Lido
mPilot. A textual ATC flight plan can be loaded from any other iPad application using the
systems pasteboard. Simply copy the full ICAO flight plan text and paste it into the “Enter
Route” window to load the route.

Additional information on single chart elements can be accessed with one tap on the enroute
map. Selected elements like NAV Aids or COM Frequency areas are highlighted on the map.

Lido mPilot is also capable of displaying a selection of different weather data on the Enroute
map, in the form of polygons.

The Document module can easily be accessed from within the Lido mPilot application. It
allows fast access to documents via favorites and the table of content. It is tied into the
airline-wide document management system and will automatically receive user or user
group-specific documents and messages whenever connected.
Lido DVMS, the Lido Document Viewer Management System, allows effectively control
distribution of documents and charts. It supplements the apps suite on the ground side,
allows the EFB administrator to define user groups (e.g. per fleet, or for specific functions),
distribute documents and messages to individual user groups, set validity of documents and
track the update status of documents and charts on every user’s iPad. Additionally, with the
purchase of CBT Reporting, Lido DVMS is capable of loading Lufthansa Systems computer
based training (CBT). Users in the "Pilot" group can log in to the web interface to launch the
CBT. The completion status and quiz score for each CBT is recorded for administrators to
review. Course completion report and test result summary of each user can be generated.

2.3 Additional Services

Lido Flight Information Viewer (Lido FIV):

The Lido Flight Information Viewer (Lido FIV) is an online service to the individual customer’s
Lido Route Manual company subscription. Connected to the Internet the user can display
any chart and/or print and download it in PDF format. The Lido FIV enables access to flight
relevant data from any computer with Internet access and is the ideal tool for flight
preparation; furthermore, it can replace the office paper manual. Various information
including SID/STAR, Approach and Aerodrome charts are available and easily accessible.
The Lido FIV allows obtaining airport- (including minima overview / planning minima),
enroute- and general information quickly and efficiently.
Additionally an office license that enables access to our worldwide Lido library is available.

Lido Navigation Training Portal:
To support the transition process from other chart providers to the innovative Lido products,
Lufthansa Systems is offering online computer based training (CBT) programs. They allow
a modern, effective, and economic way of familiarization with the intuitive Lido Route Manual
charting standard. A proven didactic concept provides for fast and successful learning
without the necessity of time and cost-consuming classroom lessons. Using a combination
of images, animations, audio, and text, these interactive applications take the customer
airline through the Lido Route Manual charting standard and the usage of Lido mPilot.
For airlines that need to monitor the training progress of their pilots and users or generate
CBT summary reports, Lufthansa Systems is offering a self-service CBT reporting solution
that allows airline administrator to track users’ progress in completing the Lufthansa
Systems CBTs. The CBT Reporting system provides the status which user has not
completed the training and the test results of the users who have finished the Lufthansa
Systems CBT.
Onsite train-the-trainer sessions, Q&A information booths staffed by our experts and
customized training packages may be added to the training concept upon request.

4 Legal terms and conditions
The pricing is based on a five-year contract and a quarterly prepayment including initial cost.
The calculation is based on the above assumed parameters and scenario.
The information provided in this Budgetary Price Information is non-binding and is presented
in the interests of providing Egyptair with a greater understanding of the
offered products and certain commercial terms related to Egyptair potential procurement of
such. All prices mentioned in this Budgetary Price Information are to be understood as a net
basis and calculated plus applicable taxes or levies, if any.
