TIPS FOR SAVING ENERGY

Here are some tips that will help you minimize the power consumption when you use the air
conditioner. You can use your air conditioner more efficiently by referring to the instructions
below:

• Do not cool excessively indoors. This may be harmful for your health and may consume more
electricity.
• Block sunlight with blinds or curtains while you are operating the air conditioner.
• Keep doors or windows closed tightly while you are operating the air conditioner.
• Adjust the direction of the air flow vertically or horizontally to circulate indoor air.
• Speed up the fan to cool or warm indoor air quickly, in a short period of time.
• Open windows regularly for ventilation as the indoor air quality may deteriorate if the air con-
ditioner is used for many hours.
• Clean the air filter once every 2 weeks. Dust and impurities collected in the air filter may block
the air flow or weaken the cooling / dehumidifying functions.

The following safety guidelines are intended to prevent unforeseen risks or damage from unsafe
or incorrect operation of the appliance.
The guidelines are separated into ‘WARNING’ and ‘CAUTION’ as described below.

Installation
• Do not use a defective or underrated circuit breaker. Use this appliance on a dedicated circuit.There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• For electrical work, contact the dealer, seller, a qualified electrician, or an Authorized Service Center. Do not disassemble or
repair the product. There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• Always ground the product. There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• Install the panel and the cover of control box securely. There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• Always install a dedicated circuit and breaker. Improper wiring or installation may cause fire or electric shock
• Use the correctly rated breaker or fuse. There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• Do not modify or extend the power cable. There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• Do not install, remove, or re-install the unit by yourself (customer). There is risk of fire, electric shock, explosion, or injury.
• Be cautious when unpacking and installing the product. Sharp edges could cause injury. Be especially careful of the case edges
and the fins on the condenser and evaporator.
• For installation, always contact the dealer or an Authorized Service Center. There is risk of fire, electric shock, explosion, or injury.

• Do not install the product on a defective installation stand. It may cause injury, accident, or damage to the product.
• Be sure the installation area does not deteriorate with age. If the base collapses, the air conditioner could
fall with it, causing property damage, product failure, and personal injury.
• Do not let the air conditioner run for a long time when the humidity is very high and a door or a window
is left open. Moisture may condense and wet or damage furniture.
• The appliance shall be stored in a well-ventilated area where the room size corresponds to the room area
as specified for operation. (for R32)
• Ducts connected to an appliance shall not contain an ignition source. (for R32)
• The appliance shall be stored in a room without continuously operating ignition sources
(for example:open flames, an operating gas appliance or an operating electric heater.)
• Keep any required ventilation openings clear of obstruction.
• Installation work must be performed in accordance with the national wiring standards by authorized personnel only
Operation
• Take care to ensure that power cable could not be pulled out or damaged during operation. There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• Do not place anything on the power cable. There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• Do not plug or unplug the power supply plug during operation. There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• Do not touch(operate) the product with wet hands. There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• Do not place a heater or other appliances near the power cable.There is risk of fire and electric shock.
• Do not allow water to run into electric parts. There is risk of fire, failure of the product, or electric shock.
• Do not store or use flammable gas or combustibles near the product. There is risk of fire or failure of product.
• Do not use the product in a tightly closed space for a long time. Oxygen deficiency could occur.
• When flammable gas leaks, turn off the gas and open a window for ventilation before turning
the product on. Do not use the telephone or turn switches on or off. There is risk of explosion or fire
• If strange sounds, or smell or smoke comes from product. Turn the breaker off or disconnect
the power supply cable. There is risk of electric shock or fire.
• Stop operation and close the window in storm or hurricane. If possible, remove the product from the window

• Do not open the inlet grill of the product during operation.( Do not touch the electrostatic filter,if the unit is so
equipped.) There is risk of physical injury, electric shock, or product failure.
• When the product is soaked (flooded or submerged), contact an Authorized Service Center.

• Be cautious that water should not enter the product. There is risk of fire, electric shock, or product damage.
• Ventilate the product from time to time when operating it together with a stove, etc.There is risk of fire or electric shock.
• Turn the main power off when cleaning or maintaining the product. There is risk of electric shock.
• When the product is not to be used for a long time, disconnect the power supply plug or turn
off the breaker. There is risk of product damage or failure, or unintended operation.
• Take care to ensure that nobody should step on or fall onto the outdoor unit. This could result
in personal injury and product damage.

! CAUTION
Installation
• Always check for gas (refrigerant) leakage after installation or repair of product. Low refrigerant levels may
cause failure of product.
• Install the drain hose to ensure that water is drained away properly. A bad connection may cause water leakage.
• Keep level even when installing the product. To avoid vibration or water leakage.
• Do not install the product where the noise or hot air from the outdoor unit could damage the
neighborhoods. It may cause a problem for your neighbors.
• Use two or more people to lift and transport the product. Avoid personal injury.
• Do not install the product where it will be exposed to sea wind (salt spray) directly. It may cause corrosion on the
product.Corrosion, particularly on the condenser and evaporator fins, could cause product malfunction or inefficient
operation.

• Do not install the unit in potentially explosive atmospheres.
• Means for disconnection must be incorporated in the fixed wiring in accordance with the wiring rules.
• The appliance shall be stored so as to prevent mechanical damage from occurring. (for R32)
Operation
• Do not expose the skin directly to cool air for long periods of time. (Don't sit in the draft.) This
could harm to your health.
• Do not use the product for special purposes, such as preserving foods, works of art, etc. It is a
consumer air conditioner, not a precision refrigeration system.There is risk of damage or loss of property.
• Do not block the inlet or outlet of air flow. It may cause product failure.
• Use a soft cloth to clean. Do not use harsh detergents, solvents, etc. There is risk of fire, elec-
tric shock, or damage to the plastic parts of the product.
• Do not touch the metal parts of the product when removing the air filter. They are very sharp!
There is risk of personal injury.
• Do not step on or put anything on the product. (outdoor units) There is risk of personal injury
and failure of product.
• Always insert the filter securely. Clean the filter every two weeks or more often if necessary. A dirty
filter reduces the efficiency of the air conditioner and could cause product malfunction or damage.
• Do not insert hands or other objects through the air inlet or outlet while the product is in oper-
ation. There are sharp and moving parts that could cause personal injury.
• Do not drink the water drained from the product. It is not sanitary and could cause serious health issues.
• Use a firm stool or ladder when cleaning or maintaining the product. Be careful and avoid per-
sonal injury.
• Replace all the batteries in the remote control with new ones of the same type. Do not mix
old and new batteries or different types of batteries. There is risk of fire or explosion
• Do not recharge or disassemble the batteries. Do not dispose of batteries in the fire. They
may burn or explode.
• If the liquid from the batteries gets onto your skin or clothes, wash it well with clean water.
Do not use the remote if the batteries have leaked. The chemicals in batteries could cause
burns or other health hazards.
• If you eat the liquid from the batteries, brush your teeth and see doctor. Do not use the re-

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Unless it is obviously unnecessary, switches which may give rise to a hazard when operated shall
be marked or placed so as to indicate clearly which part of the appliance they control. Indications
used for this purpose shall, wherever practicable, be comprehensible without a knowledge of
languages or national standards.
• Controls intended to be adjusted during installation or in normal use shall be provided with an
indication for the direction of adjustment.(NOTE An indication of + and – is considered to be sufficient.)
• The different positions of switches on stationary appliances and the different positions of controls
on all appliances shall be indicated by figures, letters or other visual means. This requirement also
applies to switches which are part of a control. If figures are used for indicating the different positions,
the off position shall be indicated by the figure 0 and the position for a higher value,such as output,
input, speed or cooling effect, shall be indicated by a higher figure. The figure 0 shall not be used
for any other indication unless it is positioned and associated with other numbers so that it does not
give rise to confusion with the indication of the off position.
(NOTE For example, figure 0 may be used on a digital programming keyboard.)

Preparing for operation
- Contact an installation specialist for installation.
- Use a dedicated circuit.

Usage
- Being exposed to direct airflow for an extended period of time could be hazardous to your
health. Do not expose occupants, pets, or plants to direct airflow for extended periods of time.
- Due to the possibility of oxygen deficiency, ventilate the room when used together with stoves
or other heating devices.
- Do not use this air conditioner for non-specified special purposes (e.g. preserving precision de-
vices, food, pets, plants, and art objects). Such usage could damage the items.

Cleaning and maintenance

- Do not touch the metal parts of the unit when removing the filter. Injuries can occur when han-
dling sharp metal edges.
- Do not use water to clean inside the air conditioner. Exposure to water can destroy the insula-
tion, leading to possible electric shock.
- When cleaning the unit, first make sure that the power and breaker are turned off. The fan ro-
tates at a very high speed during operation. There is a possibility of injury if the unit’s power is
accidentally triggered on while cleaning inner parts of the unit.

! CAUTION
Caution of handling the Remote Controller
- Aim at the signal receiver on the wired re-
mote controller so as to operate.
- Be sure that there are no obstructions be-
tween the remote controller and the sig-
nal receptor.
- Do not drop or throw the remote con-
troller.
- Do not place the remote controller in a lo-
cation exposed to direct sunlight, or near
the heating unit, or any other heat source.
- Block a strong light over the signal recep-
tor with a curtain or etc. so as to prevent
the abnormal operation. (ex:electronic
quick start, ELBA, inverter type fluores-
cent lamp)

! NOTE
- The wireless remote controller do not
operate the swirl mode.

During Dehumidification Mode

- If you select the dehumidification mode
on the operation selection button, the
indoor unit starts to run the dehumidifi-
cation function, automatically setting
the room temp. and air volume to the
best condition for dehumidification
based on the sensed room temp.
In this case, the setting temp. is not dis-
played in the Remote Controller and you
are not able to control the room temp.

- During the healthy dehumidification
function, the air volume is automatically
set according to the algorithm respond-
ing to the current room temp. and
makes the room condition healthy and
comfortable even in the high humidity
season.

The air filters behind the front grille should be

Chuẩn bị vận hành

Cách sử dụng
- Việc tiếp xúc với luồng không khí trực tiếp trong một khoảng thời gian dài có thể gây nguy hại
cho sức khỏe của bạn. Không để người sử dụng, vật nuôi hay cây cối tiếp xúc trực tiếp với
luồng không khí trong thời gian dài.
- Do có khả năng xảy ra thiếu ôxi, hãy thông gió căn phòng khi sử dụng máy điều hòa cùng với
bếp lò hoặc các thiết bị nhiệt khác.
- Không được sử dụng máy điều hòa không khí này cho các mục đích đặc biệt không được chỉ
định (như bảo quản thiết bị chính xác, thực phẩm, vật nuôi, cây trồng và đồ nghệ thuật). Việc sử
dụng như vậy có thể làm hư hỏng các đồ vật.

Vệ sinh và bảo trì

- Không chạm vào phần kim loại của thiết bị khi tháo bộ lọc không khí. Có thể gây ra các tổn
thương khi cầm nắm các cạnh kim loại sắc.
- Không được dùng nước để vệ sinh bên trong máy điều hòa. Việc nhiễm nước có thể làm hư
hỏng lớp cách điện, và có thể bị điện giật.
- Khi vệ sinh thiết bị, trước hết cần đảm bảo bạn đã tắt nguồn điện và cầu dao. Quạt quay ở tốc
độ rất cao trong khi hoạt động. Có thể gây ra tổn thương nếu nguồn điện của thiết bị được bật
bất ngờ trong khi đang vệ sinh các bộ phận bên trong của thiết bị.

Pemasangan
• Jangan menggunakan sekering yang rusak atau di dengan rating rendah. Gunakan perangkat ini dengan sirkuit yang
khusus. Berisiko kebakaran atau kejutan listrik.
• Untuk pekerjaan listrik, hubungi dealer, penjual, tukang listrik berpengalaman, atau Pusat Servis Resmi. Jangan
membongkar atau memperbaiki produk. Berisiko kebakaran atau kejutan listrik.
• Selalu pasang arde ke produk. Berisiko kebakaran atau kejutan listrik.
• Pasang panel dan penutup kotak kontrol dengan kencang. Berisiko kebakaran atau kejutan listrik.
• Selalu pasang sirkuit dan sekering yang khusus. Pengkabelan atau pemasangan yang tidak tepat dapat menyebabkan
kebakaran atau kejutan listrik

• Hati-hati saat membuka kemasan dan memasang produk. Tepi yang tajam dapat menyebabkan cedera.
Berhati-hatilah dengan bagian tepi casing serta sirip-sirip kondensor dan evaporator.
• Untuk pemasangan, selalu hubungi dealer atau Pusat Servis Resmi. Berisiko kebakaran, kejutan listrik, meledak, atau cedera.
• Jangan memasang produk pada penyangga yang rusak. Tindakan ini dapat menyebabkan cedera, kecelakaan, atau kerusakan produk.
 4 PETUNJUK KESELAMATAN PENTING
• Pastikan area pemasangan tidak rusak karena termakan usia. Jika bagian bawah roboh, AC dapat jatuh
sehingga menyebabkan kerusakan properti, kerusakan produk, dan cedera badan.
• Jangan biarkan AC bekerja dalam waktu lama jika tingkat kelembapan sangat tinggi dan jika pintu atau jendela
dalam keadaan terbuka. Kelembapan dapat menghasilkan embun dan membasahi atau merusak perabotan.
• Alat harus disimpan di area yang berventilasi baik di mana ukuran ruangan sesuai dengan area ruangan
yang digunakan untuk pengoperasian alat.
• Saluran yang tersambung ke alat tidak boleh mengandung sumber pengapian. (Untuk R32)
• Alat harus disimpan di ruangan tanpa beroperasi terus-menerus sumber pengapian (misalnya alat : nyala
api terbuka yang, alat gas yang beroperasi atau pemanas listrik yang beroperasi).
• Pastikan lubang ventilasi yang diperlukan tidak terhalang.
• Pekerjaan pemasangan harus dilakukan sesuai dengan standar pengabelan nasional oleh petugas resmi saja.

• Jika terjadi kebocoran gas yang mudah terbakar, matikan aliran gas dan buka jendela untuk ventilasi
sebelum menghidupkan produk. Jangan menggunakan telepon atau menggunakan sakelar untuk
menghidupkan atau mematikan unit. Terdapat risiko ledakan atau kebakaran
• Apabila muncul suara aneh, bau atau asap dari produk. Matikan sekering atau cabut kabel listrik.
Terdapat risiko kebakaran atau kejutan listrik.
• Hentikan pengoperasian dan tutup jendela saat terjadi badai atau topan. Bila memungkinkan,lepas produk
dari jendela sebelum topan datang. Berisiko kerusakan properti, kerusakan produk, atau kejutan listrik.
• Jangan buka kisi-kisi lubang udara masuk selama pengoperasian. (Jika unit dilengkapi filter elektrostatis, jangan
sentuh bagian tersebut.) Terdapat risiko cedera badan, kejutan listrik, atau kerusakan produk.
• Jika produk terendam (kebanjiran atau tenggelam), hubungi Pusat Servis Resmi. Berisiko kebakaran atau kejutan listrik.
• Berhati-hatilah jangan sampai air masuk ke dalam produk. Berisiko kebakaran, kejutan listrik atau kerusakan produk.
• Berikan ventilasi ke produk sepanjang waktu ketika dioperasikan di tempat yang sama dengan
kompor dll. Terdapat risiko kebakaran atau kejutan listrik
• Matikan aliran listrik saat membersihkan atau memelihara produk. Terdapat risiko kejutan listrik.
• Jika produk tidak akan digunakan untuk waktu yang lama, copot kabel listrik atau matikan
sekeringnya. Terdapat risiko malfungsi atau kerusakan produk, atau operasional yang tidak dikehendaki.
• Hati-hati dan pastikan tidak ada seorang pun yang menginjak atau jatuh menimpa unit luar- ruangan.
Ini dapat menyebabkan cedera badan dan kerusakan mesin.

Pemasangan
• Selalu periksa kebocoran gas (refrigeran) setelah pemasangan atau perbaikan produk. Kadar
refrigeran yang rendah dapat merusak produk.
• Pasang pipa pembuangan untuk memastikan bahwa air telah disalurkan dengan benar.Sambungan yang
buruk dapat menyebabkan kebocoran air.
• Usahakan produk tetap rata saat dipasang. Untuk menghindari getaran atau kebocoran air.
• Jangan memasang produk di tempat di mana derau atau udara panas dari unit luar-ruangan
dapat mengganggu lingkungan sekitar. Hal ini dapat menjadi masalah bagi tetangga Anda.
• Mintalah dua orang atau lebih untuk mengangkat dan memindahkan produk. Hindari cedera fisik.

secara langsung. Produk dapat mengalami korosi. Korosi, terutama pada sirip kondensor dan

• Jangan pasang unit ini di lingkungan yang berpotensi ledakan.
• Sarana pemutusan harus disertakan dalam pemasangan kabel sesuai dengan peraturan pengkabelan.
• Alat harus disimpan sedemikian rupa untuk mencegah terjadinya kerusakan mekanis. (untuk R32)
Pengoperasian
• Jangan memaparkan kulit secara langsung ke udara dingin dalam jangka waktu lama. (Jangan
duduk di depan aliran angin.) Ini dapat mengganggu kesehatan Anda.
• Jangan menggunakan produk untuk tujuan tertentu, seperti mengawetkan makanan, karya seni, dll.
Ini adalah AC konsumen, bukan sistem pendingin presisi. Berisiko kerusakan atau kehilangan properti.
• Jangan menghalangi aliran udara masuk atau keluar. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan kerusakan produk.

Filter yang kotor dapat mengurangi efisiensi AC dan dapat menyebabkan AC tidak bekerja atau rusak.
• Jangan memasukkan tangan atau benda lain ke dalam lubang udara masuk atau keluar ketika
produk sedang bekerja. Ada benda tajam bergerak yang dapat menimbulkan luka.
• Jangan meminum air yang keluar dari produk. Air ini tidak sehat dan dapat menyebabkan sakit yang serius.
• Gunakan bangku atau tangga yang kokoh saat membersihkan atau memelihara produk.
Berhati-hatilah dan hindari jangan sampai terjadi cedera badan.
• Gantilah semua baterai di remote control dengan yang baru dengan tipe yang sama. Jangan mencampur
baterai lama dan baru atau baterai dari tipe yang berbeda. Terdapat risiko ledakan atau kebakaran.
• Jangan mengisi ulang atau membongkar baterai. Jangan melempar baterai ke nyala api.
Baterai dapat terbakar atau meledak.
• Apabila cairan dari baterai mengenai kulit atau pakaian, cucilah dengan air bersih. Jangan gunakan remote apabila baterai
bocor. Bahan kimia di dalam baterai dapat menimbulkan sensasi terbakar atau menyebabkan bahaya kesehatan lainnya.
• Jika Anda menelan cairan dari baterai, sikat gigi Anda dan kunjungi dokter. Jangan gunakan remote apabila baterai
bocor. Bahan kimia di dalam baterai dapat menimbulkan sensasi terbakar atau menyebabkan bahaya kesehatan lainnya.
• Alat ini tidak ditujukan untuk digunakan oleh orang (termasuk anak-anak) yang memiliki keterbatasan
fisik, pancaindra atau mental, atau mereka yang kurang memiliki pengalaman dan pengetahuan, kecuali
jika mereka telah diberi pengawasan atau petunjuk tentang penggunaan alat oleh orang yang bertanggung
jawab atas keselamatan mereka. Anak-anak harus diawasi guna memastikan mereka tidak bermain dengan alat.
• Jika kabel daya rusak, kabel harus diganti oleh produsen, agen layanannya atau orang dengan

yang dikontrol. Indikasi yang digunakan untuk tujuan ini, apabila memungkinkan, harus mudah
dipahami oleh mereka yang tidak memiliki pengetahuan tentang bahasa atau standar nasional.
• Kontrol yang dimaksud untuk disesuaikan selama pemasangan atau dalam penggunaan normal harus
dilengkapi dengan indikasi arah penyesuaian. (CATATAN : Indikasi + dan – dianggap sudah mencukupi.)
• Perbedaan posisi sakelar pada peralatan stasioner dan posisi kontrol yang berbeda pada semua peralatan
harus ditunjukkan dengan angka, huruf atau sarana visual lainnya. Persyaratan ini berlaku pula untuk sakelar
yang menjadi bagian dari kontrol. Jika menggunakan angka untuk menunjukkan posisi yang berbeda, posisi
mati harus ditunjukkan menggunakan angka 0 dan posisi untuk nilai yang lebih tinggi, seperti output, input,
kecepatan atau efek pendinginan, harus ditunjukkan menggunakan angka yang lebih tinggi. Jangan pernah
menggunakan angka 0 untuk indikasi lain kecuali jika diposisikan dan dikaitkan dengan nomor lain sehingga
tidak mengakibatkan kebingungan dengan indikasi posisi mati.

- Terpapar aliran udara secara langsung dalam waktu yang lama dapat membahayakan kesehatan.
Jangan memaparkan penghuni, hewan piaraan, atau tanaman kepada aliran udara langsung

- Karena kemungkinan ada kekurangan oksigen, berikan ventilasi ruangan ketika unit dijalankan
bersama dengan kompor atau alat pemanas lainnya di dalam ruangan yang sama.
- Jangan gunakan AC ini untuk tujuan khusus yang tidak seharusnya (misalnya, menjadikannya
alat pengawet barang, makanan, hewan piaraan, tanaman, dan benda seni). Penggunaan
semacam itu dapat merusak item.

Pembersihan dan pemeliharaan

- Jangan menyentuh bagian produk yang terbuat dari logam saat melepas filter. Dapat terjadi
cedera ketika memegang tepi logam yang tajam.
- Jangan gunakan air untuk membersihkan bagian dalam AC. Paparan ke air dapat merusak
insulasi, yang selanjutnya berakibat pada sengatan listrik.
- Saat membersihkan unit, pertama-tama pastikan bahwa aliran listrik telah diputus dan sekering
sudah mati. Kipas berputar dengan kecepatan tinggi saat beroperasi. Ada kemungkinan terjadi
