System Setup Guide
1. Introduction
Our practice systems are tailored to meet the specific needs of each course. As a result, each
practice system is unique and contains specific technical details. Before you begin working on
the exercises for your course, take the time to familiarize yourself with the information
provided in this Setup Guide. Follow the instructions outlined in the exercise guide carefully
and complete the exercises. The Setup Guide also provides useful information throughout the
use of your practice system.

3. Global Training System Support
1. Go to SAP User Support Center https://support.learning.sap.com/#
2. Click “Need more help?” at the bottom of the page.
3. Click on “Create Case”
4. Briefly describe your issue in the Subject field.
5. Click on the “Service Category” drop-down and select “Practice Systems”.
6. Click the Refresh button below Service Category to copy details for issue description for
Self-paced Learners. You can paste the text in the Description box.
7. Complete the form with the necessary information about the issue.
8. Attach the screenshot of the issue if available (max 20MB). You can either Choose a file or
drag and drop. Hit Upload when file has been chosen.
9. Click Submit.

This class is offered with Practice System. The tenant information for the practice system is

Practice System window. Every time you are asked to make an input containing

● The SAC tenants have been updated with QRC Wave 2025.01.
● ONLY GOOGLE CHROME is supported. If IE or another browser is used, then the user will
not be able to perform 90% of the exercises in this class.
● Close the browser and clear your cache when you are logging in as another user or if you
have any issues.
● Do NOT delete anything that you did not create.

How to find the Group Number
The User ID and Password for the Course is found in the System Landscape Information:
Practice System Front End section of this document. Use either Team_A or Team_B,
depending on the information in that section.

7. Additional System Setup Tasks
Please initialize SAC course as follows:
1. Go to Start Menu.
2. Scroll down and click on Initialize_SAC.
3. Click yes when prompted.
4. The script will copy all SAC course folders and will open folder "N:\SAC".
5. Open the relevant course folder from the list of folders.

IMPORTANT: Please always complete the exercise you are working on before you suspend
the system to avoid potential system inconsistencies and failure.
When issues arise first refresh the page, or close browser and clear the browser cache if
needed.

As of Collection 37, the P00S_Financial_Story throws an error when adding a page to a Digital
Boardroom node. The error, however, does not affect the demo, and you can continue with
the demo. At this point, we do not know why the error occurs.
As of Collection 37, it is possible to copy an entire story page from the page drop-down in Edit
mode. You may want to demo this option. You can also demo the Exclude values option in an
input control functioning as a page filter.
As of Collection 37, you can demo the Exclude values option in an input control functioning as
a page filter. When defining the input control, slide the "Exclude Values" slider on. All the
values in the input control display with a strikethrough. When you select a value, the results on
the page display everything EXCEPT the selected value. It is not possible to have a single input
control with both including and excluding functionality.
Depending on the audience, you may make some exercises Optional, even those that are not
noted as being Optional. Use your best judgment based on the participants in the course.
Note:
When using stories with the HANA Pacifica calculation views / live models, it is
important to have a fresh SAC browser for the single sign-on to work properly.
Otherwise the SAC / NetWeaver pop-up appears. To avoid this issue, the SAC
browser should be reloaded or re-started.
Note:
When using live models or importing from a Universe, the connection may prompt
for a user & password. If so, go to connections → edit the connection → choose
saml single sign on. If you need the user, it is SAC & Welcome1.

The BW Live connection may require you to add the use and password in the
connection. User: WSSBW Password: Welcome1

The filter for All Files, Owned by Me, and Shared with Me is on the upper left in the
Files area. When you try to access the Public folder and you don't see it, make sure
that the filter is set to All Files.
Note:
If you demo the SAC add in, follow the procedure. If the SAC Analytics Cloud tab
does not appear, go to Insert → Addins → Store → Search for SAC → Install. If you
get an error when trying to log on, go to Insert → Addins → Choose … next to the
sap sac addin → Remove → Store → Search for SAC → Install.
