NMIMS, School of Law

The School of Law, NMIMS, Bengaluru (Deemed-to-be


University) offers a high-quality legal education designed to

ABOUT

SOLARIS 2.0 is the flagship law fest organised by the NMIMS


School of Law. The Fest strives to bring together esteemed
academic institutions by means of participation in the grand
competitions, through budding camaraderie among students along
with networking opportunities with eminent personalities in
numerous professions. The Fest shall comprise of a series of
events stretching across a span of 3 days, the competitions
including Justice CK Thakker Moot and Mediation Competition,
Crime Scene Investigation Competition, Scriptivox Article Writing
Competition, and Jashn-E-Junoon National Cultural Fest.

The Publications Committee and the Literary Society of NMIMS,
School of Law, serves as a vital hub for scholarly discourse and
dissemination. As a nurturing and ambitious group of law aspirants,
we aim to foster a vibrant intellectual environment by overseeing the
production and distribution of high-quality academic work. We aim
to enhance the academic reputation of law school journey by
providing a holistic platform for students to showcase original
research, refine writing skills and engage in critical legal analysis. By
nurturing a culture of scholarly inquiry, we empower future legal

Dear Students,

The Publications Committee and the Literary Society of


SVKM’s NMIMS (Bengaluru Campus), School of Law, is
delighted to announce the launch of its highly anticipated
Article Writing Competition ‘Scriptivox 1.0’. This prestigious
event aims to provide a platform for budding legal minds
across the country to showcase their analytical skills,
innovative thinking, and articulation of ideas.
The event promises national recognition, valuable insights, and
opportunities for participants to enhance their academic
profile. Winners will receive cash prizes and certificates of
achievement in recognition of their outstanding contributions.
The competition also aligns with the vision of promoting legal
scholarship and encouraging meaningful contributions to the
academic community. Join us in this intellectual journey and

Participants are invited to submit their articles on any of the

ELIGIBILITY
The competition is open to all law students currently enrolled in
recognized 3-year LL.B or 5-year integrated LL.B courses.
Participants must be pursuing their studies at any recognized
institution in India.
Participants can participate individually or as co-authors in a
team of maximum two members.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Each individual or team is allowed only one submission.


Both co-authored and single submissions will be treated as
separate entries. Submissions falling into both categories will be
disqualified from the competition.
The article must be the original work of the author(s). Plagiarism
limit: 15% (excluding footnotes). Any article beyond this limit will
be disqualified. Any article found to be generated or heavily
assisted by AI may lead to immediate disqualification.
Each entry must be previously unpublished. Articles that have
been published elsewhere or selected/submitted for publication
elsewhere will be disqualified. 7
No part of the article should contain any form of identification of
the participant, such as: author’s name; University/College name;
any other personal identifier. Any such inclusion may lead to
disqualification.
Articles must adhere to theme.
All articles must be written in English.
Word Limit: 2,500–3,500 words (exclusive of footnotes).
The article must include an abstract with a maximum limit of 200
words and 6 keywords, exclusive of the overall article word limit.
The abstract should clearly indicate the chosen topic of the article.
Citations and footnotes must follow the Harvard Bluebook (21st
edition) referencing style.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

Articles must be emailed to [email protected] by 15th


March, 2025, 23:59 hours (IST).
Subject Line of Email: “Submission: SCRIPTIVOX, 2025”.
The article must be attached only in ‘.pdf’ format.
The document must be named as the Team Code provided (e.g.,
“TC-01”).
NOTE: Team codes shall be assigned on 7th March, 2025. 8

EVALUATION PROCESS

All articles will go through a double-blind review process. The review


shall be conducted in two stages:
1. Technical Review:
The article will be checked for plagiarism and AI-generated content.
Language and grammar will also be assessed.
2. Content Review:
The article will be evaluated based on its contemporariness,
relevance to the theme, and novelty.
3. The scoring factors to be considered:
Overall Evaluation of Topic
Content, Use of Authorities, and References
Issues Covered, Relevance & Ingenuity of Ideas
Originality, Language, and Creative Writing Skills
Flow & Structure

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Registration Details
Registration to be done via this form by 10th March, 2025.
Registration fee (non-refundable) is as follows for:
a. Single Author: ₹250
b. Co-Authors: ₹400

All participants must pay the registration fee by scanning the


following QR Code. Ensure that the payment is completed before
filling the registration form.
After making the payment, save the transaction receipt and upload
it in the registration form as proof of payment.
