1 General
With this control module, the operator can simply operate a power
generator.
The operational data of the internal engine and generator are displayed
on the large colour display.
For the independent power generator, the IS10 is used.
For generators which are operated as an emergency power system the
NS10 is used.
The operating concept and the outward appearance of the IS10 and the
NS10 are
identical. The display differs according to the activated Functions.
The control modules are only to be used exclusively for this purpose.

3.1 Operating conditions / reporting groups
The operating status is displayed by the colored backlight of the display.
Protective conductor
Power generator needs to be deactivated.
Insert the test lead into the black test
socket and check the PE connection of the
power generator.
When the test is successful, the
background color will change from red to
green and the horn sounds.
Attention:
This test does not replace the required
measurements of electrical safety.
Picture Description
Alarm message window
Display of the currently existing warning or error
message.
If an alarm message occurs, this message
window is
automatically shown and indicated by the horn.
The horn can be deactivated by confirming with
the "Enter" key.
If the signal of the warning or error message is
no longer present, the display disappears.
Message archive
Using the arrow keys, the last 10 warning or
error messages are displayed.
Each message has a time stamp assigned.

4.2.2 Auto
Picture Description
Automatic operating mode
Variant 1 network monitoring:
If the pre-set limiting values of the mains monitoring are
exceeded, the mains switch will be activated after a standby
time and the power generator will be started.
After a warm-up period or rather dependent to the engine
temperature, the generator will be automatically switched on
and the consumers are getting supplied.
If the electrical network is available again without failure for
some time, the generator trip switch will be
deactivated and the supply over the electrical network is
being restored. After a cool-down period the power
generator will be automatically stopped.
Picture Description
Variant 4 back-up battery monitoring:
The power generator is switched on automatically when the
values of the mains monitoring and the values of the
minimum voltage of the observed back-up battery (max.
60V) exceed the limit.
The power generator keeps running until the upper limit of
the back-up battery is reached, or the preset operating time
is reached.
Via the parameter menu, the behaviour of the power
generator at the re-establishment of the mains can be
selected.
Either it is switched directly to AC power or the power
generator takes over the supply to continue until the defined
stopping terms are achieved.
If during the cooling phase, the DC voltage falls below the
switching threshold it will not automatically switch back to
generator operation like in variant 1.
4.2.3 Manual
Picture Description
Manual mode
Automatically starting and stopping of the power
generator as well as switching the trip switch is not
happening.
It is operated via the on/off button.
To switch the trip switch, the appropriate button with
the arrow keys (up/down) has to be selected. The
status
display of the selected button is highlighted.
It is achieved via the on/off button.
4.2.4 Test
Picture Description
Test mode
In this mode the parameters and the expiry of the
network monitoring can be tested.
For this the power generator needs to be started
manually with the on/off button. A switching of the
generator trip switch does not occur.

5 Communication
5.1 Wired communication
The control has digital outputs / inputs that can be used for wired
communications.
Remote Start-Stop variants which are set in the parameter menu of the
control unit.
5.2.1 Protocol
The protocol is accessible, so the controller can be integrated into your
own control system.
5.2.1.1 Installation
The monitoring software establishes a connection to the controller and
scans the control unit for operating data or sends writing instructions.
