Job Description: AI Engineer

Overview
The ideal candidate should be technically proficient but, more importantly, passionate about AI
and its potential. Our project with AI (LLM) at its core is a pioneer in the Intent-Drive Commerce
category and, therefore, there’s no one on the market to look at or to copy from. Our ideal
candidate should be willing to break through the unknown, explore, gain and share insights, and
help push the boundaries of what's possible in AI-driven solutions.

Technical Skills
We are ideally looking for a full-stack developer, although front-end experience can be very
basic. A little bit of React is enough, even if it’s with the help of ChatGPT, Stack Overflow, and
Google.

On the back-end side, any programming language is fine, but the person must be willing to learn
Python as we move forward, since it is the primary language in the AI industry. That said, we’re
not building anything rocket-scientific here. Even you and I, with our PHP and JS background
and no prior Python knowledge, would be a good fit. Python is fairly easy to read—almost like
plain English, just like PHP—and writing it is something ChatGPT can assist with effectively.

We all work on AWS, so familiarity with the AWS Console and a general understanding of AWS
services would be a strong advantage. However, this might change in the future as we consider
moving to other providers.

The LLMs and services we use change frequently. We currently work with AWS, Groq, and
OpenAI, as we’re constantly testing new approaches and exploring new solutions.

Any experience with ecommerce would be a nice bonus, although not necessarily with Magento.
Since we’re building an ecommerce-agnostic solution, any ecommerce background will be
relevant. This is not a hard requirement, and we’re happy to interview candidates who do not
have ecommerce experience.

Overall, we’re looking for someone at a mid-senior or senior level—not junior or mid-level.

Communication and Collaboration


The person must have fluent English, small gaps in speech are ok but we must be able to freely
communicate and brainstorm together.
Our ideal candidate should have at least some understanding of AI and how it works, though
this is a nice-to-have and not a strict requirement.

Engagement Type/Availability
This is a full-time role, with 8 hours of work per day. We will be having daily calls with me, and I
will personally manage the tasks and review the work.

Mindset and Personality


Above all, we are looking for someone technical enough to write code, but even more
importantly, someone who is truly curious about the AI space. The right person will understand
the larger purpose behind what we’re building and will be excited to explore new approaches,
find unexpected solutions, and be open to experimentation. We want someone who is eager to
try, fail, learn, and try again—someone who’s hungry to discover new insights in the world of AI
and share them with the team.
