Dedicated and knowledgeable professional primary school teacher with 21 years of experience in
teaching across all grades levels from elementary to grade eight with learners aged between six and
fifteen years. Possessing a proven ability to create a positive, inclusive and imaginative environment for
learning, am passionate to contribute to their social and emotional development. She has developed
strong relationships with all students establishing and encouraging a classroom environment that is safe,
respectful and flexible for all learners., colleague teachers and stakeholders to enhance teamwork in the
betterment of learning.
As a talented and knowledgeable teacher in using appropriate teaching methods to instruct learners, I
will monitor and assess the learning methods for all students including those with specific learning
disability thereby adjusting instruction for the betterment of all learners. have been recognized for my
hard work in enhancing the learning experiences such shaping learners handwriting skills, drawing
exciting pictures, physical demonstrations and visual representations with an aim of capturing their
interest to extend their concentration. This will automatically arouse their interest and motivate them to
learn. Am passionate to providing my learners with interesting teaching and learning materials which
are age-appropriate to make learning real in instructing all learners including those with specific learning
disability. I was recognized for my drawing skills and appointed the head of Art &Craft department in our
school in the year 2013.
In the pilot phase of Primary Maths and Reading (PRIMR) initiative in the year 2010-2014, I participated
in the seminar and was awarded a certificate.
At the end of the summative exams, The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) 2014, I was
awarded by KATWEDE for a great improvement in English language for attaining a means score of 70
percent compared to the previous year KCPE 2013 which was 40 percent.
Being a dedicated teacher am passionate to inspire all learners to embrace learning in order to maintain
high academic standards. Discipline being one of the pillars of good performance, I maintain discipline
by controlling learner- behavior guiding and counselling so as to implement effective classroom
management strategies. Am skilled in developing new ways to encourage learners while challenging
them to deepen their knowledge and understanding.
Am passionate about teaching other subjects of interest a part from English. Music grade 1 to 8, Art and
craft grade 3 to six, visual arts grade 7 and 8 and performing arts grade 7 and 8.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and management
Assisting the Head of Institution (HOI) in the overall management of the school.
Curriculum development
Ensure that teaching and learning is going on, as the immediate assistant to HOI, ensure the
work is being done.
Learners welfare and safety
The DHOI should team up with the class-teachers to ensure safety of learners checking how they
play with each other during break and games time to check on their behavior with their peers.
Check on how they take their breakfast and lunch.
Staff management
Collaborate with colleague teachers, parents and support staff to support student learning.
Delegate some duties as the DHOI to let other colleagues help in conducting performance
appraisal in our school.
Community and parental engagement
Relate well with teachers, parents, support staff and the community and assist in discipline
cases to support students learning. Observe decorum when dealing with parents be honest and
strong moral principles.
As a professional teacher
Plan structured and deliver engaging lesson plans used in teaching diverse group of students and
subjects.
Monitor and assess the learning methods for all students including those with specific learning
disability and assessing, observing and evaluating their performance and providing feedback.
