SYNOPSIS
1. Introduction:
Sanjana travels are one of the reputed and safest travel agency in Dharwad. They have all types
of vehicles for rental basis. Many vehicle owners registered their vehicles under Sanjana travels.
Sanjana travels are having their own vehicles and vehicles on contract. Whenever they take any
vehicles for contract they will be checking vehicle documents, history, insurance and registration
book, the same will be entered in books. They maintain a different chart which contains
information about tax date, permit date, insurance expiry date for their own vehicles. There are
major things on revenue. Apart from this they will be maintaining the information about no. of
kilometer vehicle run, oil change details, tyre details.
2. Objective:
We are designing software for Sanjana travels to maintain the information about vehicle and trip
details and online booking. This software contains the options to maintain the information about
registration book, renewal of tax, permit, insurance and change of oil, tyres, liners etc, and the
software also maintains the lap information of vehicles and customer. The application should
provide the alerts whenever the dates are nearer and it should show all the events of the day the
moment of application started.
3. Input of project:
Information about vehicles, owners, contract, tax, permit etc, is fed into the system. Information
about vehicle and customer lap is added.
4. Output of project:
It provides the detailed information about vehicle maintenance report. By one click it provides
the exact location of vehicle owner, the party who has taken the vehicle and all the financial
matters.

5. Process Logic:
5.1 Existing system:
Right now they are maintaining all the information in books and they have a chart with vehicle
no and date of renewals. By seeing these things they will be updating all the information. If any
customer wants the vehicle or wants to book a vehicle they have to come to office itself or they
have to give a call but the call is not supported for booking.
5.2 Proposed system:
The frequently used customer information will be fed in the system. And all the vehicle
information with their renewals is added in the system. By just providing the vehicle numbers we
will get all the information about the vehicle. It also maintains the information of vehicle trip and
vehicle lap.
The newly Built System is fully computerized and whatever information required can be
retrieved by pressing a single button. The user just has to Register and Login.

The Sanjana Travels was established in the year 1995, new Bus Stand, Dharwad. They
have all types of vehicles for rental basis.
They maintain a different chart which contains information about tax date, permit date, insurance
expiry date for their own vehicles.
Tourism is an important sector which not only provides employment
opportunities but helps to earn valuable foreign exchange. The tourism development also helps to
achieve balanced and sustainable regional growth by providing employment opportunities for
unskilled workers specially from the rural areas and also developing interior and remote areas.
This project “Car Rental” allows not only the customer to know the proper details of a
place on screen, but also helps the area to get exposed to the entire world and attract tourists and
urges them to go to the place and see the scenic beauty of the place. This project also gives the
proper exposure to the most common details of a region and makes the place have a important
place on the world map.
This document provides the introduction, SRS, Design, Implementation, and Testing and
Results. Conclusion, Reference and Screen Shots which explain the complete flow of Project.

OBJECTIVES & PROBLEM STATEMENT:
The objective is to develop Web-based centralized system designed for Tours that
can provide fulfilled information to the defined tour Packages. The Web-based system supports
complete information and Car Rental, and creates a powerful site & help for the user to fetch
the Information and book the Taxi. This leading edge software and services lower the stress of
the user, can book the Taxi, can view the route for the defined packages, and can also give
feedback.
OWNER:
Owner is the only authorized person to add the new tour details.
Maintains the data-base.
Has the authority to change the schedules concerned to the tours.
Defines new route maps.
Authorized to cancel the tour packages and booked taxis.
CUSTOMER:
User needs to register his name.
After logging in he can view the packages & route maps.

The existing system is a manual system where all the information required is stored in a file
where a lot of paper work is required, more employees are required to maintain the system
and also it consumes more time.

PROJECT PLANNING:
Growth in the use of Internet has been the key influence in the development of
“CAR RENTAL” This is an innovative web based solution mainly targeted at customers
providing information about the tourism packages. CAR RENTAL is designed keeping in
focus the key procedures that the user has to do to get the details and all the information
about the India. It is the professional software that completely automates the process of
searching and booking. It is a specialist for the travelers, using the latest technology that
greatly fulfills the user needs. This software consists of four main modules.
Owner:
This module helps the owner to add - new cities, schedule for new routes and tariff’s for
new routes. It also helps us to update city, schedule and tariff’s details.
Manager:
This module helps manager to look at the bookings and gives the confirmation to the
customer.
Customer:
This module helps the user to login (registration). It provides the city information, traveling
details, packages and helps Car Rental.
Accounts:
This module helps the accountant for the billing and to maintain all the financial aspects.
