Zeus is angry with his father, Cronos.
Cronos swallows Zeus’ brothers and
sisters and keeps them inside his
stomach. Zeus wants to stop him and
take control of the universe. Zeus
wants to fight him and be the boss!
Cronos is not alone. Many Titans, his
brothers and sisters, help him. They
do not want a younger god, Zeus, to
rule. But Zeus has help too! His
brothers and sisters are thankful
because he saves them. They want to
fight with him!
The Titans are super strong.
Zeus' brothers and sisters are
super strong too. They fight for 10
years. BOOM! CRASH! CLASH!
But nobody wins. The war never
ends. Then, Gaia, Zeus’
grandmother, gives him an idea.
"Free my other children! Free your
big uncles!" she says. "They
remember how Cronos betrayed
them. They remember Cronos
being mean. They will help you!
Zeus goes deep into the
earth to find his uncles.
But a scary monster
guards the prisoners! The
monster has a woman’s
head and a big scorpion
tail. SWISH!
She tries to sting Zeus. He
jumps and runs away from it!
Then, SLASH! Zeus uses his
sword. CRUNCH! He hits her
with his sword! The monster
falls down to the ground.
Now, the uncles are free! The
Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires
are free! They are happy. They
give gifts to Zeus and his
brothers. Hades gets a magic
sneaky helmet to make him
invisible. Poseidon gets a
trident to shake the earth. Zeus
gets powerful thunderbolts!
Now, Zeus is ready! He fights Cronos
again. Zeus and his friends are attacking
Cronos and the Titans! BOOM! FLASH!
CRASH! Thunderbolts fly and swords
clash. Finally, Zeus wins!
Cronos and the Titans lose. Zeus puts
Cronos and the Titans in a dark place.
Zeus locks them in the underworld. Big
uncles, The Hecatoncheires, watch
them, so they cannot escape!
One Titan, Atlas, fights against Zeus. As
a punishment, Zeus makes him hold up
the sky forever!
Some Titans help Zeus. One Titan,
Styx, who helps Zeus, fights bravely.
Zeus is happy and says: "Now, every
god must make promises in your
name."
Now, Zeus and his family are the
rulers of the universe! The Titans stay
in the dark of the Underworld forever.
