Reason and Prerequisites


This consulting note provides additional information and features
about maintaining restrictions for Model Mix Planning.

Solution
The following points should be considered when maintaining the restrictions:
A maximum of 3 shifts per day are supported. The shifts must not overlap.
In the "Start Date View" and the "Vertical Periodic View", the layout of the ALV grid is
not dependent on the restriction category.
The "Start Date View" does not take into account the shifts maintained on the resource,
while the "Vertical Periodic View" does.
The "Start Date View" does not check working days, while the "Vertical Periodic View"
does and displayes only working days.
Only one class can be displayed in the Enhanced Dependency Editor. In order to maintain
a dependency which uses 2 different characteristics from 2 different classes, change the
user setting and use the (old) Dependency Editor.
The Enhanced Dependency Editor enables users to maintain dependencies using customized
customer syntax. This customer syntax is automatically converted to SAP syntax when
saving. SAP syntax is the syntax in which the dependency is maintained when using the
(old) Dependency Editor. Once a dependency is maintained in SAP syntax, it can no longer
be converted to customer syntax.
If maintaining dependency for a restriction defined for a field in the product master,
use the old dependency editor. Be aware that syntax check interface is not fully
integrated so incorrect dependency values may not be detected during saving.
Minimum is not supported for quantity and K-in-M restrictions. Maximum is not supported
for spacing restrictions.
Additional points regarding restrictions:
Restrictions are not copied during planning version copy.
