Rampur, a small village at the foothills of the Mata Temple had just
three main professions namely eateries, taxi services and pooja items for
the pilgrims visiting the Temple round the year. And the number of
pilgrims was only going up with every passing year.
Lakshmi’s neighbor Ramu was running a taxi service for years. Of
late, Ramu had reduced his daily trips to the Temple to just 2 or 3 because
of old age and Lashmi had smelt an opportunity to make a deal with him. In
fact she had already made her first move and had discussed with Ramu the
possibility of buying his taxi. Ramu was also ready to rent it out to Lashmi
if the offer was reasonable.
