Trainer, Founder and CEO, School of Success, Dr.Ishari.K.Ganesh, Chancellor,
Vels University and Chairman, Vels Group of Institutions, Dr.Arthi Ganesh, Pro
Chancellor, Vels University and Academic Advisor, Vels Group of Schools,
Mr.VijayaKumar, Director , Vels Group of Schools, Ms.Meenakshi Ramesh,
Director, Research and Development, Vels group of Schools, and Principals, Vice
Principals, Co-ordinators of our sister concerns,Our Champian Co-ordinators
teachers, Parents and stars of the show our dearest children.

Once again we welcome all of you this evening for a special occasion for our
colourful Annual Day.

The Annual Report showcases the achievements and glories of our school,
undoubtedly, but also makes us think deeply about our shortcomings. We have
always been committed to create an environment in the school which helps the
young minds to blossom and provide a platform for individual thinking and holistic
development of the child’s personality.

We set standards and goals for ourselves and strive to achieve them – be it in the
area of academics, sports, discipline, leadership and more.

Training Programmes of Teachers

Many of the teachers have been sent for different training programmes like Gender
Sensitivity, Value Education , Life Skills, Health and Physical Education, Class
room Management, Educational leadership programme and Core Subject related
programmes in order to build up on skills and competencies to effectively transact
challenging content areas. Workshops and In house training programmes are
conducted round the year.

MDA (Madras Dyslexia Association) has provided intensive training to teachers


of our school to become special educators to help children with learning
difficulties in the areas of identification, assessment and remediation techniques to
overcome the learning difficulties. The school has also set up a resource room to
address to the needs of learners.
A Brief account of chief Guest

DEEPA AATHREYA – PROFILE

 I wish to introduce the most befitting Chief Guest Mrs. Deepa Aathreya –
she is an MBA – Founder and CEO School Of Success. Mrs. Deepa is a soft
skill trainer who has worked with Over Lakhs of students till date helping
them take charge and LEAD.

 She conducted 1000+ teacher training and parental workshops..and over 50


corporate training programs.

 She has won several awards and accolades for her outstanding contribution
towards leadership for Kids, teachers and parents.

 She has also actively worked with the Down syndrome federation of India,
Hari Vikasam school of special needs and is a volunteer ambassador of
Chennai turns pink’ for breast cancer awareness.

 She is also an active volunteer of ‘nirbhaya’ – a fight against rape!


‘Leadership’ is her key focus area. Dream BIG, Never Give up Attitude,
Goal Setting. Communication with clarity. Overcoming shyness and staying
confident, these are a few leaderships that she has conducted.

 She is a life member of the International ‘Frontier Training Academy’ and


gets personally mentored under ‘CLINTON SWAINE!’ Who is a world
leader in experiential learning! Deepa’s vision is to transform the lives of
atleast a zillion people across the globe.

Our team of teachers and children have worked very hard to put this show. Please
stay till the end of the colourful cultural extravaganza.
To include Olympiad Para from original report:
Academic achievements,
Though we have classes till class VI, this current year, we have
facilities to provide till class XII. All the students are good at their studies and
promoted to their next higher levels students who are not high achievers due to
family trauma etc are given special coaching and increased their standard to cope
up their next higher level studies.

Olympiad:
Our students participated in English, Science, Maths & Computer Science
Olympiad exams and bagged many medals.
Akshara of I A bagged bronze medal in international level and awarded with
a certificate of outstanding performer and a cash award of Rs.1000/- in English
Olympiad exam.
Varshitha S.Guru – ranked 2 and bagged gold medal in the school level in
English Olympiad.
Charumathi of II A ranked 1 and bagged gold medal in school level in
Science Olympiad.
Raam pranav.R of VI A ranked 1 and bagged gold medal in school level.

Environmental Education:

Our School provides special environmental education up to class II


through activities and create awareness about the need & significance of
environmental protection Global warming, Global green movements, usage
organic products, Rs.3 & to avoid plastic bags, bottles and boxes, Red bin, Green
bin in their young budding minds. Through awakened citizen programme the same
is also insisted for higher classes and various activities conducted in connection to
it.

Sports:
We have 2 big playgrounds and we have Junior Khokho, Football, Kabbadi
teams and we have included Yoga, Karate, Chess, Archery, Silambam, Aerobic in
our curriculum or paid activities.
