Crochet hook 4.5 mm (US 7) Picasso is a fun and colorful scarf for

Pattern

SQUARE
Make 8 squares in the color combinations you want. You can find inspiration under "Color
suggestions" at the end of the pattern.

Start with a magic ring

Round 1: ch 3, 2 dc in the ring, ch 2, *3 dc in the ring, ch 2*, repeat *-* a total of 3 times (= 4
groups of 3 dc), ch 1, join with a sl st in the top of the ch 3, pull the thread to close the ring.

Round 2: ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the same ch-space (= corner space), *(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the
next ch-space*, repeat *-* a total of 3 times (= 3 corners), join with a sl st in the top of the ch 3 (=
4 corners)

Round 3: ch 3, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the next ch-space (= corner space), *3 dc in the next ch-space,
(3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in the corner space*, repeat *-* a total of 3 times, 2 dc in the next ch-space, join
with a sl st in the top of the ch 3

Round 4: like round 3 (1 dc group is added between each corner for each round)

Round 5: like round 3 (1 dc group is added between each corner for each round)

The square measures 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4 inches

ASSEMBLY
Place the squares in the desired order. Choose which color you want to use for assembling the
scarf. Start with the first two squares. Place them on top of each other with the wrong sides
facing out.

Now insert the hook through the corners of both layers. Pull the yarn through and tie a knot.
Insert the hook and make a stitch.

Now work single crochets in the inner (front) loops along the edges through both layers. Finish
in the corner. Weave in the end.

Continue working the rest of the squares together in the same way until you have joined all the
squares.
