Razer, LG and Lenovo confirm
laptops with GeForce RTX
5060 and RTX 5050 8GB
graphics cards
Laptop makers announce RTX 5060 &
RTX 5050 prematurely
NVIDIA set to announce new graphics cards for laptops
soon.
We did some digging and found evidence of three laptops
featuring upcoming entry-level GPUs from NVIDIA.
Specifically, we are talking about the yet-unannounced RTX
5060 and RTX 5050 graphics cards. The GPU vendor has
already announced and theoretically launched the RTX
5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070. However, as clearly
shown last week, the actual launch had very limited stock,
and most of these laptops will only start selling later this
month.
If everything goes according to plan, NVIDIA should
announce its RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 series for laptops in
two weeks. This launch should happen alongside the RTX
5060 and RTX 5060 Ti for desktops. Meanwhile, some
laptop makers have already confirmed the first systems
featuring these graphics cards, some even confirming the
memory and power specs.
For instance, the LG Gram Pro will launch with an RTX 5050
8GB, but it will be only one SKU. LG confirms the RTX 5050
laptop will launch in the second quarter of this year.
LG Gram Pro is equipped with NVIDIA RTX 5050
independent graphics card, with comprehensive
hardware and software innovation. […] In addition, the
gram Pro 16 equipped with the NVDIA RTX™ 5050
discrete graphics card is also expected to be
available for pre-order in the second quarter of this
year.

For the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5, there will be an optional
discrete graphics card of RTX 5050. The company confirms
that the TDP of the entire system will be 135W, while the
CPU alone can boost up to 70W. This means that the RTX
5050 is a 65W TDP SKU, however, we do not know if this is
the full Max-P version here.

A bit higher-end model, the RTX 5060 is confirmed for the
Blade 16, the flagship Ryzen AI 300-based gaming system
from Razer. The graphics are associated with memory specs
of 8GB GDDR7 and Dynamic Boost of 15W, just the same
spec as the RTX 5070.

We are waiting for NVIDIA to officially announce the specs of
these laptop graphics cards. The RTX 5050 is most likely the
first GB207-based model, however, without the exact Device
ID, it may take time to confirm. NVIDIA was also rumored to
be preparing a desktop 5050 with 8GB memory, except that
would use GDDR6 type. It’s not clear if the laptop version will
follow suit.
