LAB: FAULT ANALYSIS


Develop the power system below using Matlab Simulink and use it to Simulate both
Asymmetrical and Symetrical faults:
i. LG
ii. LL
iii. LLG
iv. LLL
v. LLLG
The power system consists of a 11kV, 10 MVA, 50 Hz three phase source block feeding through a
11kV/415V, 10 MVA delta,wye transformer to a load consisting of a 11kV/415V, 10 MVA
delta/wye transformer to a load consisting of a 2MW active power and a 10kVAR reactive
power.
Analyze and discuss all the faults when:
a) The fault occurs at the shown position
b) The fault occurs between bus A and the transformer.
