To Whom It May Concern:
As someone with a strong background in historical research and writing paired with experience
working within fast moving and public-facing office settings, I firmly believe I am an excellent
candidate for the position of Associate Historian of Lore for the Warcraft team.
Drawing on historical methods and skills in historical research and my ability to identify and use
key details from that research effectively has been pivotal in my professional life. Working in the
rigorous and detail oriented office environment at the International Rescue Committee’s
immigration front desk required that I swiftly research and identify key details in highly technical
and often complicated immigration requirements and connect them to narratives told to me by
prospective immigration applicants. Likewise, I was able to demonstrate mastery in both
collaborating with peers to effectively explain intricate, often complicated information not just to
others in a professional environment but as an effective volunteer doing voter outreach during
the 2020 Democratic Presidential Primary.
Both my personal and professional lives have put an emphasis on collaborative creativity and
always looking to grow my personal skills. I’ve spent several years writing and conducting
tabletop roleplaying games as a Game Master recreationally both in local and digital
environments. These projects have strong components of improvisation, collaborative narrative
development, and extremely robust recordkeeping for long term storylines and campaigns.
Ever since my brother came home with a copy of the Warcraft III Battle Chest in the early 2000s
I’ve been hooked on the various stories and forms of storytelling in the Warcraft universe. As a
long time player, reader, viewer, and overall fan of the Warcraft franchise, I’m hoping you’ll reach
out and let me add ‘historian’ to that list as well!
Best,
