WEDNESDAY YOUTHS’ BIBLE STUDY – EPHESIANS 3:1-13
Recap from last week’s bible study from Ephesians 2:11-21;
For the last two weeks we have been doing bible study through Ephesians chapter 2.
From verses 1-10 we saw that Christ Jesus has brought the vertical reconciliation
(reconciliation with God). We were dead in our sins awaiting God’s wrath but now by
God’s grace through faith we have been raised and seated at heavenly places with Christ.
In verses 11-21 we saw that Christ has brought horizontal reconciliation (reconciliation
among believers from different backgrounds). We saw that there was enmity between
the Jewish believers and gentile believers but Christ broke this dividing wall of hostility.
We are all brothers and sisters in Christ; we should not be divided in Christ.
Today’s bible study note - After Paul shared with the Ephesian Christians on how God has
reconciled them with Himself and with the fellow believers he as it fir to show them the Gospel
mystery hidden for ages (since the time of Abraham). This gospel mystery is openly stated and
revealed in V6 That this mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and
partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. This was a mystery because Israel/Jews
for a long time though Yahweh and His Son, Christ Jesus were specifically to those who are of
Jewish ethnicity. Jews never belived that Gentiles would be fellow heirs, members of the same body,
and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus, but in Christ they are now.
Today’s study will help us to see all these truths and more, welcome.
