25 Sân San Siro (Giuseppe Meazza)

Hello, everyone. Before we begin, let me introduce my group. My group has five
members: J K L M and I H.

Today, my group will talk about the Milano - Italy. Our presentation is divided into 5 part
and I will start with the San Siro Stadium, and then my group members will talk about
other famous places in this city.

1. History.

- San Siro Stadium, also known as Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, is located 6 km

from the center of Milan. It is the home stadium of two major football teams, AC
Milan and Inter Milan. This stadium has a capacity of up to 75,923 seats for
spectators, because of that huge capacity, this stadium becomes one of the largest
stadiums in Europe and the largest in Italy.

In 1925, construction began and the original name was Nuovo Stadio Calcistico
San Siro.

The original idea for San Siro Stadium was like a horse racetrack, the stadium
then opened in 1926 with a capacity of only 35,000 spectators for the opening
match of two clubs AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Until March 2, 1980, this stadium changed its name to Giuseppe Meazza, one of
the most famous football legends of the Milan club.
In 1996, the stadium continued to add a historical museum of playing costumes,
clothes, shoes, items, trophies and souvenirs [,su:və'niə] of the two Milan clubs
to meet the sightseeing needs of visitors.

In addition to major football matches, the San Siro stadium has hosted boxing
matches, rugby matches, and even events, especially significant musical
performances.

2. Museum.

This stadium includes 3 main areas: the museum, the changing room for the
players, and the stands. These areas all have special features

The museum area in the stadium has up to 2 floors with different display areas. A
room below the first floor is dedicated to storing artifacts associated with the
formation and development of the football field.

On the museum's second floor, there will be a display of shirt designs from two
famous clubs, Inter and AC, that were used in matches.

Unlike many other stadiums today, Giuseppe Meazza Stadium has up to 3 different
dressing rooms, one for Inter and one for AC Milan, and the remaining room is for
the away team when they come to compete. In addition, there is also a press
conference area at the stadium after each match on the field.

With its huge scale, Giuseppe Meazza Stadium has facilities from the lighting
system, grass quality on the field, and many other services that all fulfill with high
quality. That's why this is known as a football cathedral.
