Manufacturing Manager
Position Summary

 The Maufacturing Manager is responsible for leading and managing an efficient and effective
Manufacturing function and is ultimately responsible for right first time precision products, delivered
on time, complete to customer specification and in accordance with Company values and objectives.
The role reports to the Operations Director.

Key Responsibilities Include

 Leading all aspects of operations focusing on KPI’s


 Achieve KPI's for Manufacturing, working with and leading teams to succeed along the full product
value stream.
 Working closely with supervisors, managers and all other stakeholders to ensure product is made
right first time and satisfies On Time Delivery targets.
 By effective use of available resources and manufacturing best practices, meet the production
schedules and customer-scheduled delivery dates in a linear manner.
 Driving innovation initiatives across the teams on the production floor.
 Leading and attending meetings when required and producing and delivering reports as needed.
 Actively driving out quality agenda with a clear focus on improving quality.
 Lead continuous improvement initiatives through Structured problem solving programmes.
 Lead problem escalation and resolution, including driving recovery actions for specific KPI's
 Working with supervisors and wider team to ensure working environment is optimal for all employees
and engagement targets are met.
 Lead teams to develop their processes, people and procedures, to achieve a high performance
culture.
 Develop strong teams and succession pipelines through coaching, mentoring and by providing
opportunities for individual development & growth.
 Ensure employees have the relevant skills, capabilities, tools and support to perform in their roles.
 Accountable for creating and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring full
adherence to best practice systems and processes.

Person Specification

 Experience with CNC machining


 Proven ability to manage and develop high performance teams in either engineering or
manufacturing team based, environments.
 Experience with continuous improvement methods an advantage (lean, kaizen, six sigma)
 Experience in regulated environment an advantage (e.g. med tech, pharma)
 Experience in a fast moving dynamic environment
 Strong evidence of delivering results in a fast paced operational setting and continuous improvement
initiatives
 Laser focused on delivering quality to customer
 Communication and reporting skills (verbal and in writing)
 Confident at challenging the status quo, both influencing and challenging decisions at a senior
management level
