well as bringing awareness to any operational or vehicle limitations.

Compatibilities and Requirements

T-Harness Keys required Keys required
compatible THFD1 for programming
1 or 2 for operation 0
Vehicle Takeover Refer to the Quick Reference Guide section for more details.

Keys required for programming

Š 2 Master Keys: Both 80-bit & 40-bit PATS use 2 Master Keys to follow the standard programming procedure.
(Cloned keys are not compatible.) Refer to “80-bit & 40-bit Programming (2 Master Keys Required)” section for standard
programming procedure.
Š 1 Master Key: Only 40-bit PATS can use 1 Master Key to follow the Key2GO programming procedure.
Refer to “40-bit Key2GO Programming (1 Key Required)” section for Key2GO programming procedure.

How to differentiate between 80-bit & 40-bit PATS?

To determine which encryption type you are dealing with, you must test pin 1 at the 4-pin IMMO connector on the key barrel for
the following conditions:
Š 80-bit vehicle should provide the following values:
• NO key in barrel: 0V
• Key in barrel with IGN OFF: (+) 12V
• Key in barrel with IGN ON: (+) 12V
Š 40-bit vehicle should provide the following values:
• NO key in barrel: 0V
• Key in barrel with IGN OFF: 0V
• Key in barrel with IGN ON: (+) 12V

Firmware notes
Š THFD1 The optional Plug & Play T-Harness is sold separately.
Š Loose wires: All T-Harness wires not listed in the diagram are not required for the installation.
Š The OBDII Diagnostic Connector features will remain the same even when the T-Harness is installed.
Š Unless specified otherwise, all connectors are displayed from the wire side, with the exception of the OBDII diagnostic connector.
Š If no wire color(s) are specified on the diagram, refer to the "Vehicle connections" following the installation diagram.

Footnotes

[1] Hood pin: The installation of an aftermarket hood pin is only required on vehicles that are not equipped with a factory hood pin or if
not supported in data.
[2] Tach: An optional connection required on some remote starters, which do not support a tach signal in D2D.
[3] Data Functions: Connections required if features do not operate in data.
[4] Keysense: Connection required if the vehicle is equipped with an OEM alarm only.
