Opening scene: (Heaven: The Trinity)

V.O The son of God, who dwelt in eternity with God, who is God himself, creator of the
heavens and the earth of all things visible and invisible, came to earth as the only begotten
son of God to fulfill a mission, to be the Lamb slain before the foundations of the world and
bring salvation to all mankind.

God the Father: Are you willing, Son, to go to them, lay down
your life and redeem mankind from the penalty of Sin, from the
power of Satan and save them from the judgement to come?
God the Son: Yes, father I’m willing to lay down my life so that
all your sons and daughters can be reconciled to you and come
home.
God the Father: Are you aware that you have to be born of flesh
and bones, you will be hated and rejected by men and on the
cross you will have to bear the sins of all humanity, drink the
cup of my wrath and judgement and die the most painful death?
God the Son: Yes, Father I know… and I am willing.
God the Spirit: I will be your helper. I will be there when you
are conceived in Mary’s womb. I will be with you when you are
baptized in Jordan river. I’ll anoint you for your ministry of
healings and miracles and strengthen you at your most difficult
times. And when you are in the grave I will come and resurrect
you.

After this JESUS would take a two-step to the front where the TWO ANGELS will come and
take off his robe (signifying stripping him off from the divine nature -the power, the glory).
The EIGHT ANGELS in the arrangement of syllable down the stage will rise up (in creative
way) with their wings and will slowly close the TRINITY. Curtain closed.
Scene 1 (Compassion: Love)
Child crying-sound effects. After this, the V.O of the Isaiah scripture will be played and a busy
commotion.
V.O 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of the dry ground. He
had no beauty or, majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should
desire him.
3He was despised and rejected by mankind, A man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like
one from whom people hide their faces. He was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
VO- And JESUS travelled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the
good news of the Kingdom of God. The people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds
of sickness and laying his hands on each one, he healed them. (15 Secs- Actions. His
preaching and his healing)
(He is met by JAIRUS who fell at his feet pleading JESUS to heal his daughter)
Jairus (fell at his feet): My little daughter is dying. Please
come and put your hands on her so that she will be healed and
live.
Jesus (lifts him up): Lets go where your daughter is.
While JESUS and the disciples and JAIRUS are on the way. (One of JAIRUS’ servant comes up
and talks to his Master at the front where the congregation is and tells him that his daughter
is dead).
(All commotion cease).
Servant (to Jairus): Master, your daughter is dead. Don’t bother
the teacher anymore.
Jairus (crying): No, no, no. My little daughter.
Jesus (to Jairus): Don’t be afraid; just believe and she will be
healed.
(JESUS lifts him up again and goes to their house)
*N They reached the house. Jesus took only PETER, JOHN and JAMES and the child’s
Father and Mother. Jesus took the child by the hand and said:
“My child, get up.” The little girl’s spirit returns and she
stands up. All are astonished by this.
Scene 2 (Pride& Betrayal -Judas Agreement)
(CHIEF PRIESTS and others are cursing Jesus and making plans to arrest him.)
[Enters the hall]
Judas Iscariot: “What are you willing to give me if I deliver
him over to you?”
Chief Priest: (suspiciously) Aren’t you Jesus’ disciple?
Judas Iscariot: I am but how much are you willing to give?
… (whispers among them)
Chief Priest: Thirty pieces of Silver.
Judas Iscariot: Agreed!!!
The Other (throws the bag of Silver): You evil man! (Laugh out
very loud)
Scene 3: (Last Joy- Last Supper)
(A room filled with joy and merry making. LAZARUS, MARTHA, MARY THE BETHANY and
others is joined with Jesus and the disciples. They are all rejoicing)
[All laughter and joy ceases]
Jesus (to the disciples): I cannot be with you much longer my
friends. You cannot go where I am going. My commandment to you
after I’m gone is this “Love one another as I’ve loved you (to
the congregation) so love one another.
(After this MARTHA brings in the bread and Lazarus the wine.)
Jesus (lift’s a bread): Thank you! Father (He broke it & gave it
to his disciple) “Take and eat; this is my body” given for you;
(Then he took the cup and when he had given thanks, he gave it
to them) “Drink from it, all of you, this is the blood of the
new covenant, which is poured out for you and for many for the
forgiveness of sins. (To the congregation) Do this in
remembrance of me.
Scene 4: (Sorrow: The Kiss of Death)
*N This was the last supper with his disciples. JESUS arose &with his three disciples went
to Mount of olives. He was deeply distressed and troubled, his soul was overwhelmed
with sorrow to the point of death.
(Jesus falls with his face to the ground)
Jesus: Abba, Father if you are willing, take this cup from me;
yet not my will but yours be done.
(Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping)
Jesus: (to Peter) “Simon”, Why are you sleeping? Do you lack the
strength to stay awake with me for even just an hour? Pray so
that you will not fall into temptation.

*N Once more he went to pray. In anguish he prayed more earnestly, his sweat became
drops of blood falling on the ground.

(Judas and the soldiers arrive…. Judas walks to Jesus and gives him “the Kiss of betrayal”.)
Judas Iscariot: Greetings! Teacher
Jesus: “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a Kiss”.

Soldiers strike him down and takes him away…

Pilate: Do you want me to release to you the King of Jews?

*N And so it happened, that the CHIEF PRIEST and the ELDERS convinced the crowd and
JESUS was sentenced to be crucified.
Scene 6(The Final Journey)

The crucifixion of JESUS. MARY the mother of Jesus run towards JESUS (on the LED we will
have a video display-during childhood). MARY at left/video in the middle/ Jesus and the
soldier at right. The soldier mocks Jesus -hurled curses, kick him, laugh at him -CENTER
STAGE. They tore his clothes. Jesus crawls to his Cross. Jesus is laid on the cross. In the
Hammered scene – (video of a kid hand).
Mary the mother of Jesus: I’m sorry! Son. I’m so helpless.
Forgive me.
Jesus: Do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your
children… (Luke 23:28)
[Soldiers push the woman away from JESUS and continue the mockery and beating. He is
dragged to be nailed. They hang him on the cross.]
Jesus (hanging on the cross): “Father, forgive them, for they
do not know what they are doing.”
Some standing there think he is calling ELIJAH and the soldier mocks him saying ‘let’s see if
ELIJAH comes to take him down. They divide his clothes too.
Jesus (with deep pain): “I’m thirsty”.
(…Soldier offers him wine vinegar from a spear. He refuses the drink. Sufferings he bore will
be shown and the sufferings he bore in LED. Once the short video is over. Jesus cries out his
last.)
Jesus (cried out): “It is finished”.
(Only then is the temple veil torn in two.)
