A float is linked with a main pulley in an indicator by a float wire. According to the movement of
the float, the float is in balance and the main puley rotates. The pointer pulley is attached
through the main shaft to the main pulley. Therefore, the the pointer rotates according to
the rotation of main pulley, and the pointer attached to the pointer wire moves. This enables
detection of liquid level and reading on scale plates. Also, scale plates based on each tank's
specification can be used as an alternative sounding system.
Our indicator is sealsed to prevent leakage of tank atmosphere.
・ Installation type: Side of the tank (TS/TSG)
Upper of the tank (TU/TUG)
On the tank top-direct (TD/TDG)
・ Code symbol "G" means outer float type, a float guide pipe is set out of the tank.
When installing outer float type for high viscosity fluid tank, folloings are
recommended to indicate correct liquid level.
(1)Size up the lower conection pipe such as from 15A to 25A.
(2)Introduce a heat trace system in a float guide pipe to keep temperature in the
float guide pipe the same as temperature in the tank.
・ Combiation of multiple corner pulleys (max. 5 pieces) allows to install the
indicator at the position within 8 meters horizontal and 7 meters vertical from
center of the float guide pipe in TS and TU type.
・ PCTA is enclosed structure, and has an independent float wire for tank and the
indicator.
For heated tanks, this prevents drains such as vapors, condensed water, and mist,
from piling in the indicator.

Discharge of drain
Remove the front cover (fig.A P/N 2 on page 3), and check if the spring cover rotates without
resistance (【3】on page 18).
If drains build up in the indicator, it may cause malfunction due to scales and oil being
piled up and stuck inside the indicator.
Please unplug the drain plug (fig.A P/N23 on page 3), and discharge the drains. If the drains
are piled up or clogged up with high viscosity liquid, pulley, main shaft, and sealing can be
stuck. If so, please remove the rear cover (fig.A P/N 8 on page 3), and
clean with kerosine etc.

For loosening of the screw for stopper
When the indicator unit delivered from our works, the float wire was pulled out as much as possible.
Therefore, maximum tension loaded on this wire by coil spring. After installation of the unit, hold
the spring cover (fig.A P/N 9 on page 3) by hand and release it slowly by removint the screw for
stopper (fig.A P/N 14 on page 3) carefully.

【6】
For weld spatter
If a spatter of welding touched to the wire, it may cause a breakage of the wire. Recommended to
take care of wire protection on the spot during the indicator units installation.
【7】
Refer to the cross-section drawing of the indicator to check the indicator for alignment according
to the drawing.
