L&T Construction Wins Orders Valued ₹ 5146 Crores

Mumbai, May 30, 2017: The construction arm of L&T has won orders worth ₹5146 crores across
various business segments.

Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) Business

The Business has bagged major orders worth ₹ 2780 crores in the domestic & international
markets across the wide array of its business spectrum.

Paving the way for large scale implementation of mini and micro grid solutions, the business has
secured orders from Bihar Discoms to provide electricity to more than 36,000 households in 214
villages spread across 12 districts of Bihar. These projects are a novel approach of distributed
renewable power generation for rural electrification. The project scope involves turnkey
construction of solar photovoltaic plants with associated battery storage and power conditioning
units.

Another order has been secured from a prestigious client for design, engineering, procurement,
erection, testing & commissioning of a 20MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant, including
associated 110kV substation and transmission line, in the southern part of Tamil Nadu.

PT&D, along with its OEM partner, has also won a contract from Power Grid Corporation of India
Ltd. for the execution of ±200 MVAR STATCOM each at Hyderabad, Udumalpet and Trichy. The
advanced STATCOM solution along with switchable reactors and capacitors will help improve the
stability of the power system in India’s southern region.

Under the Deendayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojna, turnkey orders have been secured from West
Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. (WBSEDCL) and Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam
Ltd. (JBVNL). The scope of the works includes construction of distribution substations,
transformer centres, HT & LT lines, and electrical connections to rural households.

Orders have been secured from Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Co. Ltd. (MPPTCL) for the
construction of 400kV, 220kV & 132kV transmission lines and substations on turnkey basis.
Funded by KfW Development Bank, Germany, these projects are part of Phase I of Green Energy
Corridor projects and are spread over seven districts of Madhya Pradesh.

An engineering, procurement and construction order has also been bagged for construction of
400kV, 220kV & 132kV transmission lines in Nepal.
In the Middle East, the business has secured a repeat turnkey order from Oman Electricity
Transmission Company SAOC for the construction of a 132/33kV Ghala Heights substation. The
scope also includes Transformer/GIS bay extensions at 3 substations and associated 132kV cable
connections.

Water & Effluent Treatment Business

The business has won orders worth ₹ 1292 crores.

Engineering, procurement and construction orders have been secured from Narmada Water
Resource Water Supply & Kalpsar Department, Government of Gujarat, for the execution of
Sauni Yojana Link 2 Package 6 Project, Lift Irrigation MS Pipeline for the transmission of 200
cusecs of water from Boru to Dharoi Main Canal and from Dhadhusan to Redlaxmipura.

The scope includes survey & design works, construction of pumping station with pumps,
substation, electro-mechanical equipment and supply & laying of MS pipeline rising mains with
all allied works.

Smart World & Communication Business

The business has secured an order worth ₹ 221 crores from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran
Nigam Ltd. to build Information and Communication Technology (ICT) infrastructure for Smart
Transmission Network and Asset Management System in the state of Rajasthan.

The network infrastructure will connect over 600 locations comprising substations, control
centres, RRVPNL offices and the scope includes networking elements, transport layer
components and data centre (Network Management System, Unified Computing System and
Cyber Security).

Building & Factories Business

The business has won orders worth ₹ 534 crores.

An order has been secured from a renowned developer to construct residential towers in Kolkata,
West Bengal. The scope of works include entire civil, electrical and finishing works for four
residential towers varying from 30 to 47 floors.

Another order has been received from a prestigious client for development works in the
industrial park at Ananthapur District, Andhra Pradesh.

Metallurgical and Material Handling Business

The business has won orders worth ₹ 319 crores.

The business has bagged a prestigious engineering, procurement and construction order from
Hindustan Zinc Limited for their 1.5 MTPA Lead-Zinc Beneficiation Plant Phase III at S K Mines,
Rajasthan. This repeat order reaffirms L&T’s engineering and project execution capability in
delivering EPC solutions in the beneficiation sector.

Additional orders have been received from various ongoing jobs of the business.
