ALUMNI,JAMSHEDPUR WOMEN’S COLLEGE
The alumni of Jamshedpur women’s college link the glory of the past
meaningfully with the achievements of the present to progress for excellent
future in making noble and responsible global citizens. Many alumni of the
college worked/working presently on prestigious post of different
organization(school,colleges,government sectors, corporate sectors
etc.).Some are working as entrepreneur, some member are working personally
or through NGOs for social causes.
The effort of the alumni are beneficial for providing support to
financially weak students. Creating awareness among students regarding
various issues related to physical and mental health,career,personality
development or issues related to the society,law,environment etc. Organizing
various on campus as well as off the campus activities and programs
successfully for the students and for other members of the society.
AWARENESS PROGRAMMES ORGANISED BY
THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
An awareness program was organized by the alumni association on 24.4.2017 for the students of
the college on ‘Breast Survival Cancer’. Where Chief guest was Smt. Ranjana Mishra, N.E.P
Director, Special guest was Smt. Uma Mahto. Welcome address was given by Dr. Shukla Mohanty
Principal,Jsr.There were two speakers Dr. Amit Kumar,Oneologist-Mehebai Cancer Hospital
JSR and Dr. Mishra ,Tinplate Hospital.
A motivational program ‘Empower and Innovate to Success’ was held on 18.08.2017 for the
students which was organized by the alumni association of the college. The chief guest and
speaker was own our alumnus Mrs. Sangeeta Sharma, Management Consultant. Welcome
address was given by Dr. Purnima Kumar, Principal JWC.
The member of association regularly provide financial aids to the poor students for paying their
admission/examination fees. Some students of Vocational (self-financed) courses were also
helped to pay tuition fee.
