 TOPIC EXPLANATION
The aim of this paper is to provide best practices for creating effective weekly modules in the “Nature of
Economics course” using Google Classroom.
The Google Classroom platform allows instructors to create and post assignments, pose questions to
students, and communicate through the classroom stream. This application helps organize assignments
and materials, making it easier for students to find what they need while keeping the classroom structured
and organized. Instructors can create topics like weekly assignments, quizzes, and polls to categorize
content. Additionally, students will be able to successfully give and receive feedback, as well as create
and send emails to students or parents through Google Classroom.

Google Classroom has a feature that helps you keep your classwork page neat and tidy and organized —

Here are some of the basics to know about topics:

 Topics are like headings for your assignments, questions and materials.
 Add a topic with the “Create” button on the classwork page.
 You can create as many topics as you want (up to a maximum of 100).
 Click and drag items on your classwork page under any topic.

Of course, how you use topics on your Google Classroom classwork page will determine how effective
and efficient they are for educators.

2. Rationale

Google Classroom can be used as a free learning management system. It is an educational platform that
has revolutionized the way teachers, students, and parents interact and collaborate. With its wide range of
features, Google Classroom has become an essential tool for both personal and formal learning. In this
article, we will explore some of the most important functions of Google Classroom, highlighting its
benefits and uses. These benefits are:
 Quick and convenient setup
 Time saving
 Boosts collaboration and communication.
 Centralized data storage.
 Rapid resource sharing

The common problems we have faced are:

 Can’t sign into Classroom

 Can't create a class
 How do we delete, archive, or unarchive a class?
 How can we remove students?
 Sometimes, we can't invite students or teachers to the class.
 Students have problems with the class code.
 Can we restore a deleted assignment?
 The “Turn in” button doesn't work for students.
 Can't make a copy of an attachment for students.
 Can't submit an assignment.
 How do we report an issue or make a feature request?
 Can’t send or receive emails properly.
 Can’t invite or email guardians.

Google Classroom also offers a range of grading and feedback tools, allowing teachers to assess student
performance and provide constructive feedback. Teachers can use Google Forms to create quizzes and
assessments, as well as grade assignments and quizzes, making it easier to track student progress.

While Google Classroom offers many advantages, it also comes with certain limitations. Below is a
breakdown of its pros and cons.

Pros Cons
Easy to use and accessible from all devices Difficult account management
Effective communication and sharing Limited integration options
Speeds up the assignment process Too “googlish”
Effective feedback No automated updates
No need for paper Difficult learner sharing
Clean and user-friendly interface Editing problems
Great commenting system No automated quizzes and tests
