 The Science Open Merit Test is in conformity with the latest guidelines of CBSE. The
question paper will have the questions not only from the prescribed syllabus at
secondary level but also from the Practical Skills, Understanding and Assertion based,

and relevant additional topics like Life Skills and Value Education, which the students at this level should know and be
able to assimilate.

Science Open Merit Test 2024 will be held on 08th December 2024 (SUNDAY)
Through this letter, we seek co-operation from you, your science teachers and other colleagues for holding Science
Open Merit Test 2024. We will also provide a Sample Paper of Annual Exam. for class X in Science to practice for CBSE
conducted examination 2025. The participation in this test is purely on Voluntary basis.

Eligibility : The candidate must be a regular student of class X.

Nature of Question Paper : Multiple Choice Type (MCQ) Total Marks – 150
Medium (Language) : English / Hindi
Syllabus : Syllabus up-to Secondary stage of C.B.S.E.
Examination Fee : Rs. 100 Per Candidate
Mode of Submission of : In person or By-post or Online as details given in the enclosed Challan Form.

Day, Date & Time of Exam.: Sunday , 08-12-2024 at 10:00 a.m.
Evaluation : The answer books will be evaluated by the experienced teachers, duly appointed by
DSSTF.
Honorarium : Nominal honorarium will be given to paper setters, (excluding members of DSSTF),
Moderators, Centre Supdts., Invigilators, Examiners, Class IV etc.
Prizes : The top Seven Position Holders will be awarded Scholarship of Rs. 10000/= per annum
to each student for two consecutive years provided they pursue Science Stream at +2
stage. Out of seven, three Scholarships are reserved for Govt./Govt. Aided/ K V/ NDMC
schools and rest four are open to all.
One more Geeta Memorial Merit Award of Rs. 10000/= will also be given to topper girl
student from Govt./Govt. Aided/ K V/ NDMC school apart from Scholarship holders.
: Cash prizes , Certificate of Merit along with mementos & badges will be given to top Ten
position holders.
: Merit Certificates along with badges will also be given to top 100 candidates.
: Appreciation Certificates will be given to top 10% students appearing from each school.
Last Date : For Submission of Application Form is 15th November, 2024.
