Hospital, found in 1664, has been providing
350+ years of service to the people of India.
Today, with the newly constructed 8-storey
outpatients block, the RGGGH caters to the
needs of over 12000 patients per day. The
hospital has been pioneer in making highly
specialised healthcare services free of cost
for the masses, and is the epitome of success
for the public health system. Having faced
the burnt of COVID-19, the RGGGH has led
the state’s efforts to end the pandemic,
serving as a beacon of light in the past 2
years
Encierro, gargantuan sports meet held by MMC annually, has been
witnessing the birth of athletes and true champions in the heart of
Chennai for 60+ years now. Students hailing from colleges all over
Tamil Nadu, make the annual pilgrimage to Encierro in the hopes
of competing with the best, winning laurels and discovering
themselves in the process. Encierro has been reignited this year,
with the exhilarating spirit of competition and camaraderie. We’re
carring forward its vibrant legacy, fueling the pulse of
sportsmanship like never before!!!
ENCIERRO is one of the Tamil Nadu’s most prestigious
intercollegiate medical sports meets, bringing together
3,000+ students from medical colleges across the state for
15+ events over four electrifying days of competition.
