TO FINISH
MATERIALS Neaten ribbon by folding 1.5cm (5/8in) at each end onto
* 2 x 50g balls of Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino in Ruby 700 wrong side and stitch folds in place.
* Pair each of 2.75mm (US 2) and 3.25mm (US 3) knitting needles Stitch ribbon to wrong side of tie centrally between markers. If
* 38cm (15in) of 2.5cm (1in) wide grosgrain ribbon preferred, you can also fold the edges of the cast on and cast
off edges onto the wrong side to make points at each end of
TENSION the tie. Position the ribbon backed section of the tie around
28 sts and 48 rows to 10cm (4in) square over moss st using the neck to lie under the collar, before tying.

TO MAKE
With 3.25mm (US 3) needles, cast on 13 sts.
Moss st row K1, [p1, k1] to end.
This row forms moss st and is repeated throughout.
Cont in moss st until strip measures 66cm (26in) from cast on
edge.
Place markers at each end of last row.
Change to 2.75mm (US 2) needles.
Cont in moss st for a further 4 rows.
Dec row K1, [p1, k1] twice, p3tog, [k1, p1] twice, k1. 11 sts.
Cont in moss st until strip measures 103cm (40½in) from cast
on edge.
Place markers at each end of last row.
Change to 3.25mm (US 3) needles.
