Workflow
The shawl is knitted from the middle of the neck, out and down towards the outer edge.
Garter Tab Cast-On is used as described in the pattern.
Increases are made on both RS-rows and WS-rows. Stitch markers are used.

Start (Garter Tab Cast-On)
Cast on 3 sts. Knit 8 rows garter st. Turn 90 degrees and knit 4 sts into the side.
Turn 90 degrees again and knit 3 sts into the side. There are now 10 sts on the needle.
Placing stitchmarkers (pm): k3, pm, k4, pm, k3.
