STATEMENT

being a teacher
Teaching is the noblest and best way to express
selfless love and care for others. We all know that God
our Lord was also a great teacher in his life as a human
being, and even now that he has returned to heaven, he
continues to influence us with his teachings through the
Holy Bible. Like God, teachers must also be able to
influence the lives of their students through their
teachings and values.

We always hear experience is the best teacher. And indeed, it is the best
teacher after all. I had never dreamed of being a teacher before, and never in
my entire life did I ever wish to become one. But God has his plans for each
one of us, and in my case, he gave me the privilege to be a teacher.
I’m Mary Ann B. De Guzman. I was a former teacher at CREST Christian
School of San Pablo City, Inc. . for 5 years. My experience as a private school
teacher has presented a lot of challenges, but as the years went by, I learned a
lot and pursued my dream as a public school teacher. I applied to Deped San
Pablo in May 2023. I made the RQA, but it was not easy to resign from a private
school. For my future, I resigned and waited to hire a public school teacher,
which, sadly, was not easy. I am prepared to wait for the call from HR. But God
loves me so much that I’m waiting for the call. Ma’am Michelle hired me as her
personal assistant. So, I’m in her office, and I learned a lot about the
responsibilities of a school head. After 8 months of waiting, finally HR called me
and gave me the opportunity to be a substitute teacher at San Gabriel
Elementary School on April 6, 2024, and Prudencia D. Fule Memorial
Elementary School on May 2, 2024. I learned more as a teacher, and I want to
grow as much as I can. I want to prove to myself that I will overcome the
challenges of being a public school teacher. I cannot say that it has always
been a great time staying there, but the only thing that I can be certain of is
that I have learned about myself and whether I can become a good teacher
someday.

Being a teacher is a unique

experience that involves a
blend of chaos and clarity,
fostering curiosity and a love
for learning. It's a rollercoaster
of emotions, filled with
triumphs and challenges.
Teachers have a strong
connection with students,
understanding their
perspectives, struggles, and

adapting, and growing shapes
both students and teachers. A
favorable bond with students is
crucial for a healthy school
year.

school leadership
Objective: Led in the preparation of school strategic and operational
plans.

Children learn about the world around them and develop role-modeling skills
through reading. According to Dr. Seuss, “The more that you read, the more things
you will know. The more you learn, the more places you’ll go.” This is exactly why
every school promotes a reading culture.

In line with this, the Department of Education provided every school to construct
a Learning Recovery Plan (LRP). This program had been truly helpful to its learners.
It focuses with assessing the basic skills such as in literacy. Before it was
implemented, an orientation with the pupils, parents and teachers was conducted.
With this, Ambray Elementary School’s LRP included different activities which helped
pupils develop and enhance their literacy skills. One of this was the Spelling Bee
Contest. This was not only
