ANNOTATION
OBJECTIVE 9: Set achievable and appropriate learning outcomes that are aligned with
learning competencies.

Part IV. Preliminary Activities

In these activities, the teacher let the students
construct their own understanding about the given
images accompanied with clues. This approach is
a CONTRUCTIVISM, wherein the students
actively construct or make their own knowledge
and that reality determined by their experiences
(Elliott et al., 2000, p. 256). The students will
personally construct through experience, and that
meaning is influenced by the interaction of prior
knowledge and new events (Arends, 1998). In
addition, the second activity shows a social activity –
because the students together with the teacher helps
together to answer the given task, they interact with each
other (Dewey, 1938). This activity helps students boost their
confidence and self-esteem (Ralhan, 2019: Learning
Trends).

Part IV. Evaluation

This activity is part of the lesson's
Evaluation wherein the students are
task to create an essay that shows
their understanding the importance of
learning the topic to their day-to-day conversation and this activity will fall under the
EXISTENTIALISM approach. The students in this activity are free to express their side about
conversing to others with care, they have a choice what their way of expressing their side with
others (Duignan, 2011; Guignon; Lawless).
