SUMMER HOLIDAY HOMEWORK

Foundational Stage
Learning through Play and Exploration

Dear Parents,
Summer is here-a time for sunshine, rest, and quality time with family! Here's a
set of light, enjoyable activities designed to keep your child engaged and learning
in a playful way.
1. Language Development
Story Time: Read one short story daily. (Parents can read loud.)
Vocabulary Basket: Learn 2 new words a day and draw a picture
for (possible) each.

2. Numeracy Skills

 Count objects at home (toys, fruits, shoes, etc.)


 Create number cards (1--10) and play memory match,
 Simple addition/subtraction using real objects (e.g, apples or spoons).
3. Art & Craft

 Make a summer collage using old magazines or drawings.


 Finger painting or sponge dabbing on paper.
 Reuse waste material to make something creative (e.g,
pencil. holder from a box)
4. Life Skills

 Practice buttoning shirts and tying laces.


 Help in watering plants daily.
 Keep toys/books in place after use.
5. Physical Skills

 Simple yoga poses or stretching (5 minutes a day)


 Dance to your favorite song.
6. Fun Worksheets [Attached if needed]

 Matching shapes and colors.


 Tracing letters and numbers.
 Dot-to-dot pictures.
Encourage your child with love and patience. Avoid pressuring them. Learning
happens best when it's enjoyable.

Kitchen Time (With Supervision)

Little Helper at Home

 Help parents in laying the table for meals


 Sort clothes into colors before laundry
 Water indoor plants daily

Observation Skills

 Spot and name 5 things that float and 5 that sink


(during bath time or an a basin)
 Identify and draw 3 things you see in the sky

Talk Time

 Recite a rhymes or sing a song in front of the family


 Say Good Morning,",, Please," and Thank You' daily
